Subnautica gets upgraded and now Steam Deck Verified

My inventory when out of base/ship is just 1 ea of water, food, oxy.

Storage of all the stuff, well, yeah. Hence labelling the big lockers.

Now, I tend to overdo things, so Titanium 1, 2, 3 , ingots, etc.

STAY AWAY FROM REAPERS!!!! (for the seamoth, have the wee zappery item, that'll get it to let go. then RUN , er drive away!)

Save the food bricks. great for long trips away (eat when 1 pt below 100, it overstacks)
water, well, you want the good stuff.

Only lost a seamoth into the terrain once. (crap happens in any game, annoying but...)

Is it perfect? No.
Is it for everyone? No.
Do *I* think it's fun? Yes.

There are hilarious moments (asplodey fish, I'm looking at you)

The starting area is really rather peaceful, just swimming about, and it's georgeous at night!

(and yeah, I like the submarine) :D

Don't forget to change the colours on your vehicles.

We all live in a yellow submarine.... (or a banana...)

I put way too many hours into that thing way back when.

Great game.

I'm trying to find my 2 copies of Civ:CTP.
(and all my other linux games from way back)

Still in a box, and I suspect said box is buried at the back of a pile
of other heavy boxes.

(I hate moving)
:P

I won't sell them, but I might be able to let you borrow one copy.
(yes, we be in the same province now)

Well, the next one doesn't sound like Civ:CTP :)

(scratches head wondering what it will be...)

Valheim gets more teasers of The Mistlands
14 Sep 2022 at 2:07 pm UTC

Same thing. New world, but using the seed from the very first server.
We didn't have to explore much to get all the bosses.

Using that as a template so that when Mistland drops, we can go nuts.

(and this map has Silver Mountain. heh. Moder on it, and 26 silver nodes)
:)

Just did Bonemass last night,

Looking forward to the expansion... :)

You can now play DOOM as the Cat from Stray

Simpsons Doom was the first mod like that I believe.
(I think I still have that floppy)

I know I have my original disks for Doom.

(and all the map printouts)

:)

Valheim is absolutely smashing it with 10 million copies sold

I'm on the 4th server world. Getting ready for the (current) final boss.

Base building in the plains is always interesting.

Shortage of this and that (currently need more iron again)

Still new things to do.

Never did the domesticate Lox before. (or pigs. still haven't done wolves yet)

Use the Iron Sledge to harvest barely. (weird, but works)

First time I ever bothered to plant the beech seeds. Good thing, as I needed to harvest them
for the current base. (and I'm gonna need to plant even more. Gets to be a bit of a run
to get to the other trees, as we've cleared a rather large area for the first base)

Still lots of world to explore. Only found 1 miserable cave. (that mountain had 21 silver nodes,
but only 1 stinkin cave!)

Tricks on the tar pools.

and yes, the time STILL gets away... "4 hrs already??" um... but I still have to ...

:)

The Planet Crafter is a great start to a open-world terraforming game

took about 30 hrs to rush the the final stage that's avail right now.

Of course, gotta do it again, a bit slower, and do a better job of base design, now that
I know how some bits work.

(eg biome2 domes can be connected with a single living compartment so you can do some nifty things)

Stocked up on ice this time too.

Plays slower using proton (no, I have fiddled with the settings, other than drop it from 4k to HD),
but that's no surprise for early access.

No crashes, hangs etc. Clipping through various things, well, that happens in windows too.
(EA game, a few oopses here and there)

For $20ish though, I think it's well spent.

(oh, no structural integrity silliness, so you can indulge your fantasies for skybuilding)
:D

Just don't build ..... <kzrrt...unauthorized broadcast intercepted..skwaaak>
:P
