Well, unplugging is a no go. Keyboard, headset, webcam all USB.

latest GEproton works though.

(got that one trying to get Planet Crafter working)

The Planet Crafter is a great start to a open-world terraforming game

Like subnautica, it does suck you for time.

It's relaxing and fun. (nothing trying to eat me yet) :)

No music on the opening screens (odd), and had to lookup what the build key is.

A nice, turn the brain off and have fun type game.

(yes, I bought it yesterday after seeing this.)

Valheim update Hearth & Home is out now with lots new

Well, just built said base near the swamp (and the trader), and they've really really cranked up the 'dorfs.
As in waves of them.

Still squishy enough, but 2 game days just fending them off while building the walls, and cleaning up the
mess they left behind.

Next round is to check if one of their spawn things is nearby. (from the numbers, there's probably 2 of them)

Upside, more than enough eyes for all the teleports I'll need for the next thousand years. ;p

I think I still have my copy of Simpsons Doom stashed somwhere...

That was hilarious!

(just a .wad file I believe)

Maggie though?

heh.

For Swamp area, I build a base (with teleporter) nearby outside the swamp itself.
Keeps the eels from eating the boat. (which I chop up, and stash the mats, rebuild the boat when time
to take all the iron home)

Plains: Make a normal base near the water and keep the boat. Teleporter again to bring stuff in.
Of course, gotta bring all the metal on the boat to make the base.

With the new cooking upgrades, that base design is gonna have to be a bit different.
Need room to upgrade/add.

Rocks. Need lots and lots of rocks for the plains base. Of course, by that time, have tons
from mining in other places.

Deathsquitos become needle delivery systems after a bit. (they are stupid easy to kill,
as long as you live through the first hit)

Oh, is funny watching the windmills chop'em up. heh.

But that new thing.... I honestly have no clue yet. (yes, I'm teasing y'all)
:)

Just wait until you see the new thing in the Plains.
heh-heh.

I looked at it in godmode, and have nary a clue how I'm gonna ...... in normal mode.

You'll see.

:D

Valheim will let you puke up all your food in Hearth & Home

Well, gonna have to build an addition to the castle then for the new cookstations.

(and farm up more stuff!)

I like the bukebeery idea. :D

Valheim gets a needed patch, new terrain-modification system and no more draugr in stones
20 Apr 2021 at 1:38 pm UTC

Sea Serpents will try and have your boat for lunch. They have mean bite too.

Troll at this point are in the "Just go away and leave me alone. No? ok, FINE! Meet Frostner!" :)

Fulings are the pain. They come in packs, and hit very hard. Doable, but gotta be very careful.
(the 2 star ones in particular)

Deathsquitos are just like regular skeeters now. *SWAT* :D

I agree on the flat roof, and of course, need a hatch.

The terrain optimization is hugely welcome. Did the optterrain on the main base, and it really really
made a diff in the fps. Loading is so much faster now.

(which means making a large sprawling village/farms is doable/playable now)

A way to get rid of unwanted items more easily would be nice indeed.
(right now, it's load up the boat, sail into ocean and dump it. hmm, that's prolly why the sea serpent
wants to eat my boat. Littering!) :P

Valheim is just an incredible experience you need to play
18 Mar 2021 at 10:19 pm UTC

192 hrs and counting. Furlings just killed our boat too (and me). Only way to Bonemass is near them.
umf.

Gonna look forward to pillaging their villages for sure.

(btw, it's fun to watch them fight the greydorfs and draugr. pick off the survivors. get all 3 on the fwd base we picked.)

They hit HARD tho. for now....

Building a Retro Linux Gaming Computer - Part 3: Installing Red Hat Linux 9

I still have some of those old Loki games, and one, Civ:CTP does work on modern linux with a bit of fiddling, (just a bit), except for the music. That's solved just by having something else play the CD. :)

Mandrake for Gaming included Sims for Linux (no number, just The Sims)

It's fun trying to get that old stuff going for sure. (and I do have one old box kicking about that I just may try and get going again in a couple months. Bunch of old vid cards, even have an old 5.25" floppy drive kicking about. heh)

Curious how your trials are going to turn out. :)

(I went through them all once already, as it all happened. Linux on 25 floppies? shudder)
