Finally gamers' voice already heard even in forceful way (authorities intervention). Fuck loot boxes! Loot boxes is (for me) gambling without profits. It's one-way traffic of giving money without ROI (a.k.a borderline scams or pyramid schemes).
Eradicate loot boxes!
Eradicate loot boxes!
Looks like you can now run Linux on the Nintendo Switch

Btw, Thank you for your suggestion. I'm now following both PostmarketOS and Alpine Linux developments right now.

Quoting: MayeulCYou might want to have a look at PostmarketOS (it's not ready for a daily driver yet, but it's getting there).PostmarketOS looks very interesting especially list of devices that can be ported. Alpine Linux also worth trying on my old laptop. Right now I'm using Lubuntu for my laptop as it said to be the lightest Ubuntu-based distribution. If Alpine better than Lubuntu, I might migrating to Alpine.

XB1 is prove that console will still sells even do exclusive games are less than PS4 and games also available on Windows PC via MS Store; as long it does have games!
Linux-powered console without Linux games is like Fish without Chips. And Atari VCS totally not convincing me at all. I am super unhappy with influx of con-people coming to Linux gaming. The main problem that the victims aren't us but future Linux adopters! :><:
p/s: I need to find my throwaway G account. You got a new Youtube subs. :D

Quoting: Guesti just did a rant on this and i'm telling you right now unless they give out what games are for this thing or even show off the os i have no interest at all with this.Totally agree! Or at least port some of their IP, regardless Windows Games or console to Linux as I said it last december here. People wanted to play console because of games, regardless have exclusive of not (but exclusive is a plus).

1. Fairphone 2 = Impossible to find here locally,
2.LG/Google Nexus 5 = You're lucky to get one with good condition,
3.OnePlus One = You're lucky if found one that still functioning.
As for Halium, I hope that I am wrong but the developing stages doesn't look great. Tizen and Sailfish looks more promising than Halium. Again, I hope that I'm wrong.

Quoting: WendigoThere is Ubuntu Touch for Arm devices which gives you access to the Ubuntu Packages and has convergence functionality. Unfortunately due to the closed drivers on Android Phones/Tablets only a few devices are supported. But with project Halium it should be possible to install it on way more devices in the future.I do follow Ubports/Ubuntu Touch project ones a week. Looks promising but right now only 3 phones ready-to-use according to them which is;
(As far as I understand Halium keeps the android base layer for accessing the hardware and installs Ubuntu Touch (or other Linux Distributions) on top of it, circumventing the driver issue)

Good news for portable Linux computing and gaming on-the-go. Bad news for Nintendo as it may be use for "unofficial" purpose. Hopefully that person not getting sued for this exploit like PS3's OtherOS lawsuit last decade ago.
I really wish a truly portable open-source devices/smartphones are exist or at least I can install Linux distros on any Android devices. Closest thing I have right now is Samsung Galaxy Note II running on LineageOS and without Goggle apps.

Off topic but still about PC Hardware.
How's the price of PC Hardware in your area? Especially RAM and HDD or SSD.
Here's the price in my area, Greater KL/Klang Valley as 26th Apr 2018. (Ringgit is pretty unstable, so please convert it to your local currencies)
RAM
8GB DDR3-1333 = RM 270 - RM 310 <<< I'm using DDR3
8GB DDR4-2400 = RM 380 - RM 450 <<< RM 500 ++ in some shops
Comment: RAM price is insane. 1 DDR4 RAM stick can buy Ryzen3 1200 here.
HDD
WD Blue 1TB = RM180 - RM 210
WD Blue 2TB = RM 260 - RM 290
Comment: HDD becoming cheaper this year. Last year 1TB is RM 250. Might buy 2 or 3 HDDs (2TB) on mid-year school holiday.
SSD
Kingston UV400 480GB = RM 500 - RM 600
Comment: Personally, I've never followed SSD price. But, IMO the prices are increasing but not as bad as DRAM.
Extra: Micro SD
Sandisk Class 10, 80 MB/s, 32GB = RM 45 - RM 55
Comment: Surprisingly, memory card prices are very stable (No increase or decrease prices). I'm still following the price trend since Ringgit slump in late-2015 till today. 16GB availability are started to decreasing on market. 8GB (both card and thumbdrive) won't go anywhere, it's like floppy disk nowadays.
EDIT: Forgot add the date.

In particular, see bullet point #4. [External Link]
