Quoting: SabunDesktop? You mean television, right? Ubuntu isn't aggressively targeting the TV last I checked.Quoting: QuoteCould this be dangerous for the desktop Linux client? To me it sounds like another Linux distro, except it's aiming for the desktop aggressively (like Ubuntu) and has financial backing from Valve. I'm actually pretty excited to try it out once it's downloadable.

I'm going to wishlist this one for now, but I will play it when I have time for it, no doubt. My kind of game for sure.

Quoting: RadegastI meant open-source games, but I'd take Oblivion too. ;)Quoting: Quote from adolsonAnd since it's open-source, maybe other similar games could be made with it?In one of the early dev vids they mentioned Oblivion.

This is a great project, and I'm glad to see it progressing like this. I hope to one day actually give Morrowind a shot. And since it's open-source, maybe other similar games could be made with it?

I guess I just don't see the issue. If you can't afford five bucks for some great games supported on Linux, or if you can't justify it for charity, then maybe gaming is the wrong hobby for you? Maybe collect rocks outside for free instead. Or maybe steal rocks from dying kids.

Quoting: abelthorneNote that they changed the rules about the games added on second week: you get them only if you beat the average, either now or when they're added (the average cost might be lower on first week).$4.60 is a very small price to pay for such a swath of games.. Do people really take issue with having to spend almost 80 cents per game in order to beat the average? It doesn't seem like most Linux users have an issue with it, as they've consistently been the highest payers, and almost always over the average (oddly enough, this is also usually true in Bundles without a single Linux game...). And it's for charity. Or it can be, if you divide your money so...
With the previous bundles, you got the 2nd week bonus games if you bought the bundle on first week no matter how much you had spent (you had to beat the average only when buying the bundle on second week and then would get 1st week + 2nd week bonus).

Quoting: Mike FrettI guess it's great for people who don't have these games already. I'm pretty sure during the Steam Summer Sale, most of these were accumulated by us. I'll wait to see what the extras are since I already have most of these. I'll definitely gift a copy for my bro though, he doesn't have any of these. It IS great for us Linux gamers who don't buy Windows games, and those who like having the DRM-free option.

That is great! I'm still holding out hope that they'll bring Metro 2033 to us. I always wanted to play it, but sadly could not, as there's nothing Microsoft in my house other than a decommissioned modded original Xbox.

Congrats!
Though I haven't played it in many years, I still have my original Savage disc. It was one of a very few that had Linux listed among the other supported OSes, right on the disc itself.
