Dwarf Fortress publisher Kitfox helping roguelike Caves of Qud to release

I've had a lot of good times in Qud. I recommend playing with a numpad. I'm also interested to see if Kitfox makes DF and Qud more steamdeck friendly; playing Qud on the steamdeck wasn't as intuitive as I would have liked. You can also get Qud from itch [External Link].

Thanks! Maybe add a couple questions for steam deck and number of hours or percentage of time split between deck and your main PC?

This lemur looks like a great machine. I remember the age of netbooks but couldnt get myself to go smaller than a 12-inch screen.
@Tchey and @Pengling, have you seen this device? Looks like a netbook to me. https://www.crowdsupply.com/mnt/pocket-reform [External Link]

Just here to say thanks for the update. I bought this game a year or three ago, played it for a while and then dropped it. But I bought it because of gamingonlinux. I'm looking forward to dropping a couple dozen more hours inro tgis version. Really looking forward to version 1.0 and then loading up a star trek mod.

Valve rolls out Proton 8.0 to further improve Steam Deck and Linux gaming

Quoting: BelaptirAge of Empires 2 DE is broken on this release. If you try to open it, first you'll see a crash report, then an Xbox login window will appear, then turn completely white and won't go away, effectively blocking and preventing you from playing (I was playing with experimental before and this didn't happen).

Only way to get around this is to go offline to open the game.
Oh no! Well, I'll be waiting for 8.1 in that case. Glad I can still run AOE2:DE in an older version of proton.

Interesting! I hope they produce a Alpha Centari 2. Keep the gameplay, update some graphics, print money. I will be watching to see what Solomon does.

Free Minecraft-like game MineClone2 v0.82.0 for Minetest out now

I dumped a ton of hours into minecraft before it was sold to Microsoft. Recently in the past year or so, Ive dug up my old mojang account and had it re-enabled for my son to use. I've also enjoyed playing around with MineTest, I find the mods much easier to use.
Edit: I dont have to worry about a paid marketplace in MineTest.

System76 tease the new Launch Heavy keyboard

Quoting: PublicNuisanceI don't see a reason not to be excited over this. Got a couple of keyboards i'm looking to replace so I could see this being one of them alongside the MNT Reform USB Keyboard.
I have the exact same thoughts! I'm looking for something repairable and programmable. I've been stuck on a dell rubber-dome keyboard from work. Its okay, but really miss the mechanical keyboard that a faulty USB switch killed earlier this year. PSA: Test USB hubs before plugging in expensive stuff!
