Quoting: MinoscerebI'm curious where other people fall on this though. Have I missed something about Heroic?Same. I don't get logic, why stubbornly not to include Steam games import to Heroic.
The popular Linux distro CachyOS has a big upgrade and some fun stuff for gamers

I'll be not popular, but i won't recommend btrfs file system for a new user, despite that CachyOS defaults it. What looks like nice feature (files back up on the fly) becomes a problem when misconfigured or even slower/more complicated to use comparing to traditional file systems.
So i would stay with KDE, xfs or ext4 and Grub. It's more than enough for an average Linux user.

This is a huge update. I have two Steam acc: one for me and one for my son, so it should be easier now to manage these two.
Tags/categories are superwelcome addition also.
Waiting impatiently for the ability to add GeforceNow launchers to Lutris.
I use Heroic for Epic Games and everything else (Steam, GOG) running on Lutris. I rarely play my stuff from Epic Games (all of them are freebies), so mostly i rely on Lutris.

One of the worst update in 5 years i use Manjaro. Steam hangs up, games that requires Nvidia hangs up. Totally locks everything - the only way to escape is hard reboot.

How do one uses this feature? Can not get how to choose Steam game, when i try to add new game there's only "game" "application" and "custom". In custom there's no possibility to choose Proton game.

Long time hater of those Paradox gamblings with DLC pricing. But after all, i had to admit: i actually play their games, for many years. I get back to EU IV, get back to Stellaris (still don't own CKIII) because of their replayability. So now i own almost all EUIV or Stellaris DLC's (bought with discounts or from resellers) and waiting to buy others, including CKIII.

Started the year with classics - Baldur's Gate Enhanced edition + self compiled megamod. It's like a meditation to handpick all those mods and still enjoy original idea of the game. Playing this game for >20 years and still haven't finished Throne of Bhal or played for evil character. I just enjoy that fresh start feeling, and then again, and again. Killing every bad guy and making all side quests before starting the main is what i'm playing BG for.
Later on i realised again that i have an addiction to EU4 and Stellaris. I'm playing EU4 (and EU3 before) for many years, but Stellaris for me was some kind of surprising revelation. Still no feelings for HoI and CK series.
Summer was HoMM III time. Played lot's of hours, also together with my son. It's becoming like a tradition to play a hotseat when traveling on vacation.
Got Geforce Now, so may play some demanding games on my Lenovo calculator. This year it was Witcher III (didn't finish, played for a month and then just stopped and never got back), No man's sky (absolutely amazing graphics, but after ~30h of playing i still don't understand a bit what should i do there, so just travel between planets).
After ~800 hours of Rocket League playing in 2018-2019 completely forgot this game, sadly. Got into level that is more demanding than giving fun.
So, no surprises this year. Except Pathfinder Kingmaker i got freeby from Epic Games. 0 expectations, but this game is looking really amazingly similar to BG series for me. Loving every detail of this RPG.

GOG to go through some reorganization after suffering losses

Things may change, if Valve loses their monopoly on owning the games you buy. It could be really hard for them to actually prove that they are a streaming service while selling games, not a stream possibility. After that change (if that ever happens), there would be no "shops" that owns your's already bought game, so the buyer may migrate between Epic Games, Steam or GOG or whatever else.
It's ridiculous, for example, when you buy a game at Steam and may not for some reasons buy DLC for the same game at GOG or any other platform.

PROS: One of the game creators is once notable BG modder named Vlad (Tortured Souls mod).
CONS: That "divinited" graphics.
Just hope it would be more BG less Divinity game.
