Paradox’s grand strategy titles will be getting more content soon

Honestly this seems to me to be the social hivemind at work here. It makes sense to complain about the price, but these games get continued support for years and a lot of the features are actually free. I does annoy me that they separated the cosmetic stuff and are selling it as another DLC. They also could do more to help with how people perceive the DLC strategy by making some of the very old DLC part of the base game for new purchases(Though I'm sure that would annoy some ppl as well). They have made an effort in that direction by grouping some older DLCs together now.

Imperator Rome takes place in a really interesting period, but i feel it will be hard to model properly. Hopefully they can pull it off, while making Rome, Carthage, the Greek states and the various tribes different and fun to play. The existence of Imperator Rome probably means Vic 3 is of the table for a while

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia to be on Linux "one to two months" after the Windows release

Quoting: officerniceFantastic news! Feral do some amazing ports. Wish they'd do Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm and Rising Storm 2. :)
Dont think it is very likely Tripwire are a small indie studio I think they would need to be convinced on the numbers before they paid for a port and it would need cross multi player as there really arent that many people playing those games on windows. DOI seems to of taken most of people that play RO2.
I don't like DOI. Feels a far cry from what Insurgency was. The problem with Tripwire is they claimed a huge love for Linux a few years back but it was all mouth.

Iirc correctly the linux guy/guys at the company left sometime before the RO2 release. They tried outsourcing a port at some point, but that didn't result in something tangible.

Harebrained Schemes confirm again Linux support for BATTLETECH is a high priority

The Anti-SJW crowd is as tiresome as the SJW crowd. Can we just get back to playing games

Paradox has announced Stellaris: Distant Stars, a new story pack

I don't get the hate on Paradox's DLC policy. I mean, sure some of the DLCs are overpriced on release and i don't like that for some games they sell the new art separately, but do you know of many other developers that keep expanding their games continuously for several years? They have to pay for that somehow.

So, entering/leaving a cave in the 1st region also seems to cause lockups. Anyone else have that same experience?

Quoting: pete910I was kinda hoping that AMD's Wattman would come to us but I should doubt it will :(
Quoting: DisharmonicActually there's Wattman like functionality in 4.17
Yep! This is what I was referring to and I personally can't wait.

Initial wattman-like support
Taken from here [External Link], which is also referenced in the above phoronix link. Thanks Disharmonic.
I was referring to the actual program that's part on the AMD driver on windows, not the underling functions
Well, there's radeon-profile that seems to have some overclocking/fan control support. Haven't tried the overclocking feature myself. It does seem like the project is dead though and the main dev hasn't done anything on Github since last August. Radeon-profile github [External Link]

Yeah, same here. Had to use magic keys to reboot the system
Out of curiosity. Do you remember where? So far it has only happened when the cutscene triggers at the part of the snowy mountain where you start moving slower. (Trying to not risk spoiling anything here)
Yeah that was the place. I didn't retry making it past it, as it was late already. I take it you made it past that point?
