When learning a language, it might be useful to switch the OS language for a while. You already know how everything is labeled in your native tongue, it helps to gradually extend your vocabulary.

Nice, the lack of localization was a major obstacle for me to try Jackbox games until now. We are making do with "You don't know Jack 4" in German (from 2003) right now -- which runs in a window with a fixed resolution of 640x480. So, I'm putting my name into the hat.

I do have noticed that in many cases where a Linux version was prominently scrapped, there were at the same time lots of quality issues on Windows. Does anyone know if that is the case here as well?

Even Windows users should care if a promised Linux (or Mac) version is dropped.

Might be, kind of. Because it would be slightly inconvenient if everybody would rush to try it out, overstressing the servers and then leave with a "Stadia sucks" because all they got was a "server full" message or bad performance.
