Good to see more Linux native games, but too bad it’s almost worst than the first one, which was already just okay-ish.
Project Zomboid has recently seen a nice surge in players on Steam

I played it for the first time back in 2011, pfff... I remember at that time i said it was "similar to Rogue Survivor if its dev was more active"...
I have trouble finding excitement while playing a zombie survival crafting game, as i always think about Cataclysm DDA and find it better, deeper, funier.
The first tech-demo for Zomboid was great however. It was a house with a sick wife upstairs. I remember i cook, go upstairs has my wife calle me. Soon after, smell burn. Fire ! Good-bye wife, i run outside the house, only to get eaten by zombies.
Another, i cook, stop fire, go up, talk to wife, a man with a gun approachs, i hide, he said he is going to rape her but she is sick so he is going to shot her. I approach, too noisy, man turns, shop, dead.
Another, i cook, go upstairs, take a pillow and use it on the wife. She died, i’m sad, the end.
Great memories, haha

Hi again, any hints for these two points ? They are "fun stopping".
- supports for french with special characters like éèôà etc
- the "large resolution" seems to be borked ? If i set it high (ie 1980*1080), the game window goes tiny with big black all around in fullscreen, so worthless more or less, and unplayable. It has to be 640*480 to actually be fullscreen, but then it’s deadly...
That’s the full screen result by the way :
(edit : actually the battle maps are indeed fullscreen, so it’s "only" the main map and the options going tiny.
Full screen 1080p is not really playable as everything is very small, but at least, it’s working.
I think i’ll try with 1280*720 or something alike, and try playing a little.
The french version is not correctly working sadly, but the english part is fine.

I understand one wants to stay close to vanilla, no worry.
Simply here, 1.13 exists and is massively popular, and is quite the "best tactical ever", so, me myself, i’m sad not to be able to play it via Straccitella.

Hi,
Can you play 1.13 with it ?
(edit : i tried, and searched, and it seems it’s vanilla only. Big down, as 1.13 brings quite a lot to the table, even from the Options screen.
Plus, the french version 1.13 supports special characters like éèôà etc, while Stracciatella doesn’t.
Plus, the "large resolution" seems to be the same as 1.13 : if you play high, the game window goes tiny with big black all around in fullscreen, so worthless more or less.
With 1.13, i play 1280*720 while my screen is 1920*1080, and it’s "fine", my eyes are bleeding only after a long session.
Would love a Stracciatella for native Linux launcher + some options, with 1.13 for everything it brings, with french because it’s my first language.

This game was nice back in early 2013 when i first played it.
Today it’s one of the best of its kind, if not the best.

Grid less is too rare !
The excellent tactical games Age of Fear (4th iteration on its way), and the superheroic Sentinels of Freedom (huge Chapt2 update landed just today), are doing that, quite well, too.

As a non-native english, Dick is never firstly a first name for my brain. As far as i know, argot (slang ?) words and very polite "hello/thanks", are the first to be learnt by foreigners for any given language. I think myself i know several "bad words" in maybe 8-10 languages. All the aliens/strangers/foreigners i’ve met, some from very different cultures, are all the same minded. Say please, then say shit, haha !
And i’m totally fine with it...
Anyway, thanks for your inputs, sorry for the out-of-topic digression.
