I wonder if isn't time to Feral to rethink their business line as just a porting company.

I know nothing about how profitable they're right now, but I would suggest they should try to be a gaming developer company too. God knows we could use an Vulkan-focused gaming dev company (Even for Windows people)

I'm not a fan of KDE, but it's really nice to see the main DEs finally giving priority to Wayland, I hope others can also start to default to Wayland too, so it can improve faster.

For the gaming side, I saw a lot of improvement once I started to use Wayland (only downside for me is having to use gnome, but Manjaro team did a good job with customization)

Quoting: Purple Library GuyWhat's a Graphene project?
Have you heard about those researchs with graphene? it's an amazing material with a lot of technology applications... and never leaves the research lab.

My point comparing both of then is that Godot is an amazing project, but it'll need a big entirely made with it to get some relevancy outside the FOSS/hobbyist people.

I know those thinks take time, but right now Godot is more about what it can be instead of what it is, and just being free, as we know, it's unfortunately not enough to make people use / contribute instead of more established tools like unity/unreal.

I hope Godot don't become a "Graphene project"

They really need a big shot game made with to encourage more adoption / investment. Also Camille must be an amazing developer to make all of this in just 6 months and working only part-time.

Quoting: dibzThe beginner friendly thing, while absolutely true, always baffles me when people talk about it regarding Linux Mint -- it tends to sound like it's only for beginners.

Personally I'm no beginner, not by a long shot, but I like a solid distribution that just works and tends to match my preferences out of the box. I personally recommend Mint for everyone.
it's funny that some people disagree about recommend Linux mint for beginner, but they fail to see that Mint do a great job in what's the most important thing to a beginner: Good defaults

If it wasn't for their partnership with Nvidia (Mint boxes), Cinnamon would probably have a Wayland compositor working by now.
