it gave me this message
"A (correctly made?) linux-headers package can't be found.
If you're sure it's installed, blame your kernel maintainer."
after that it fails the installation
do you have any idea?
update 1: I am trying to update the kernel to a more recent release, let's see
Update 2 : I also installed the headers required with the new kernel, now the installation did not gave me any error, except it asks to resolve some "conflict" where I answered always "yes", now Linux won't arrive in the DE session... Lol.

what the heck I am suppose to do, these are the kind of thing that make me think that i should be just a windows user

linux515-nvidia what is that? Is that not Arch package or something? Could be problem with the distro packages you have. Probably packaged differently.
Never experienced issues with this tkg installer.

Ahh ye. it seems manjaro.. i thought they have driver packages from arch. but it seems they are doing their own thing with those...

No special things:
1) Make sure the nvidia vulkan dev/beta drivers are installed
2) Make sure you are opted into the Steam Beta client
3) Use proton-experimental
(Proton-GE im not sure about, if it includes latest DXVK master builds then it should work with it also)

Looks like 515.49.14 is not added yet, last commit is a week old.

I used this for 515.49.14. Just use the custom version and enter the number, select vulkan beta and so on.

Nice. Been using the 515.49.10 since it was made available and its been amazing with the DXVK's graphics pipeline library [External Link] (..AKA the Stutter free experience™)

Now installed this one, lets see how this will handle everything :P

Still the issue is that it wasn't really advertised that its gonna get removed and is replaced with other method. It was pretty much hidden in some blogspots. Also what if you have some software that is way older. There needs to be a backwards compatibility.

Epic or EAC devs can fix this surely at some point, but what about the software that never gets maintained anymore?

No its not a solution. It has its own issues with different GPU driver versions.
And also holding back updates or reverting breakages will pile up sooner or later and will be a huge maintenance burden.

World details are amazing, sound is really good, animations are well done. Howerver, theres hardly any gameplay. Its more of a walking simulator with some extremely easy puzzles. You can't even fail jumps, it's mostly just press this button to do that when facing something, more like a QTE style thing than actual gameplay. I mean its good if you want to switch off your brain and just be a cat i guess.

Just base game without DLCs is ~130GB for windows builds and ~70GB for linux native builds... with DLCs the windows builds go well beyond 200GB indeed

It's Free to play and its Native.. So there's that. Played couple of rounds, but imo its pretty awful. Combat is pretty bad. Audio-visual feedback is not very well done imo, the animations are pretty bad. First person view is kinda strange and third-person is even worse for this type of game imo. The Maps are kinda bland and boring also. Points of interest locations are like just slapped in and loot is sometimes very weirdly placed. Graphics look pretty OK (minus few visual glitches with water reflections and shadows) and the game runs well. Not the worst game out there but lacks a lot of polish. I might be spoiled with how fluid the combat in Apex legends is. But like i said.. Its free and just like 10GB to download and at least in EU zone i found the matches pretty quickly.
