same, played a lot in 2017 and at the beginning of 2018, recently started again on the official PvP server, don't have huge amounts of time to play, but the game seem to have improved quite a bit. Linux specific issues fixed and New Neutral and Hostile NPCs with missions etc are added, new minimap and probably a lot more i havent discovered yet.

You mean you want to get spied on like on the other platforms. The mere existence of Galaxy brings more telemetry to games, even if you use the offline installers.
yes, i want to take advantage of their multiplayer features and automatic game updates and i don't really care about telemetry. + their new GoG Galaxy (invite only beta version) apparently supports steam and other launchers also, which on paper sounds good if all the things can be in one place.

What if that would mean installing a root level spy daemon?
Don't really care, if its secure enough and enables me to play some games. If there would be massive reports about the security issues with it, yeah sure it will be bad then. But im not that much of a tin foil hat guy.

edit: and before someone comes calling.

I use linux beacuse of the flexibility. Security is nice bonus to have but not the end of the world.
