Pre-order Slime Rancher today and receive (when available):
A DRM-free copy of the game
Early access to in-development builds (available now!)
A Steam key
that widget on the website looks a lot like Humble one though, but its not currently sold on Humble Store.
No idea where it will be available when its released though, Steam is for sure since they got greenlit

woow, people are so different.
it was one of the worst games i bought this year.. i refunded it even (i usualy dont refund games)
but this was just bad, performance was bad, voiceacting was just terrible, combat was dull, visuals looked dated for that performance, map was just corridor without any openess, default keyboard shorcuts were amazingly weird (i know some french setup but come on), the plot and story line didnt seem interesting (might be because of bad voiceacting)

Doesnt run super well though. 1080p all maxed, at first the story missons are nicely 50+ FPS, when reaching to the town however fps in action around 30 fps.. with drops to even at 25... driving around 30-50fps, inside buildings 70+ fps.
now turning off AA makes it a lot smoother..doesnt help with overall framerate though.
AMD FX8320@4,4ghz
GTX 970 358.16
16GB DDR3
Arch 64bit

Gameplay is pretty boring.. destruction is nice like exactly 10 minutes and then its all boring.
A.I. seems to be bad. they sometimes stand next to you without doing anything. they get stuck in the doors and group up with others getting stuck somewhere in the corners.
black and white look with some colors like police sirens and fire are nice touch though.
driving with a car is utterly sluggish, it turns so fast and due the camera perspective its hard to master.
so what you do in this game? you just kill, kill and kill and then listen to some weird/boring monologue from the antagonist. basically he hates the world and blabla wants to kill everybody.. and you just do it..thats it
so all in all.. i think leaving the controversy aside, its a pretty boring game - i wouldnt recommend it with that price tag.
maybe 75% off is worth.
about performance.. it was 20-40fps only (no matter if medium or ultra settings) . enabled GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS and the perf doubled.. 40-60... pretty good
