I've finished Hotline miami, great but frustrating game, took me 100 tries to beat this moth******ing last boss. And they say Dark souls is hard...
Else, opus magnum.
Still have to clear time to play beneath a steel sky for the tenth tome before diving into the sequel

FTL, and for the first time after lots and lots of tries, I arrived in the sector 8 and wrecked the final boss with the Kestrel. Love this game.
Ion Fury, started all over again since my saves weren't recognized anymore, they were present on the disk but "Obsolete" as stated by the game. This game is so good don't know why I stopped playing it.

Godot, Krita, and my Tablet. Only.
It's one of these period where no games really stick with me : Started Doom, it's great but it's been a week since I last touched it. Started Mass Effect Andromeda, I love it but no motivation to go back in. Same with project Warlock, Halfway...

Quoting: tmtvlChrono Trigger on the SNES. Still one of the best, if not simply THE best jRPG around. I like the PSX version as well with the Toyama cutscenes, but unfortunately it's not quite as nicely optimized. You're so right ! It's one of my favourite, close second to Xenogears, you should give it a try you hadn't already.
Beyond a Steel Sky now confirmed for Linux PC on July 16

Doom Eternal, since they removed Denuvo anti-cheat, it's great, it's dumb and it's fun. Still you have to go offline on Steam to avoid the creation of a Bethesda account. Perfect on latest Proton.
Still toying with Godot, not as much as I should because of the former.

I've just started Project Warlock, an old school Hexen like, really fun and really fast, I really like it.
Works on Proton but not optimally, you must switch the graphic options on low to have decent framerate. It's not too bothering since it's retro pixel-art.
I've bought Detroit: Become Human and refunded it, 1 hour of playtime and 3 crash with one rebooting my computer, I thought it was my cpu temp but no problem on this side. And heavy graphical glitches on top of that. I will buy it again when all this will be ironed.
Else, still fiddling with Godot.
Next, I'm hesitating between Halo: MasterChief Edition or Star Wars: Fallen Order right after I'm finished with ME: Andromeda & South Park:Fractured but whole (Not sure if I will finish it, not as fun as the first one or I'm getting too old for this...).

Quoting: PatolaFreeCAD is an excellent Constructive Solid Modelling CAD package. It allows really professional work. However, it is not geared towards mesh modelling and organic features like Blender, it is better for engineering parts.I've given up 3d on this geriatric laptop since even Godot is running at 1 Fpm (frame per minute) and is not usable, but thanks nonetheless, I've changed my mind, I will try Orx and assets made on Inkscape.
Quoting: scaineIf you enjoyed Halfway, their Indiana Jones-like follow up, Pathway, is also worth a look. It's also 50% off right now. Thanks, already mine !

Not at home, I'm gaming on my potato laptop (13 years old), refusing to die no matter how bad I treat him, hence I'm playing really low specs games:
I discovered Halfway, a top down Xcom like taking place in a space ship invaded by an unknown force, great atmosphere (Aliens vibe), simple gameplay & mechanics. Got it for 2€ on steam less than a fifth of a cigarette pack in my country, native on linux, made with passion.
And playing "I have no mouth, and I must scream", a point & click from the past with a weird setup, five people try to escape from their own personal hell created by an omnipotent computer. Art is good, fully voice acted, story is unique.
Finally, Blender blowing a fuse on my machine, I tried Wings3d and found it totally unintuitive, basic options not easily accessible (like the near clip plane distance for the orthographic view), keyboard shortcut not well thought, opaque selection box and more. If somebody knows a really light free 3D modeler, I'm all hear, until then I'm stuck with it.

I've just finished Resident Evil 7 with proton GE 5.6, works great. First half of the game, when you're discovering the house and the plot, is tense AF with a really scary atmosphere, I was stoked. Second half is linking the story with the usual Resident Evil Evil tropes, virus T ( E, H, X or whatever...), Umbrella conspiracy yada yada, and you're not as vulnerable as you were in the beginning and can shoot your way thru, so the scare factor went down with the fun.
Nonetheless I had a nice time with it, not a bad game at all, but would've been better without the Resident Evil burden.
Next I've started Mass Effect Andromeda on Xbox One, and It's good. If you like space / planet exploration, this TPS / RPG delivers with big maps to explore and superb art direction. Some people criticize the simplicity of the story but for me it allows more liberty unfolding the game : You're a pathfinder and must guide your people in the discovery of a livable planet to settle, in short, messiah story.
Lastly, still on Godot, slowly working on my project because full time "real" work resumed.

For me texturing take the most of my time, you're always after the small details or repairing the discrepancies between Blender and godot. And I feel the same way about coding today, everything is so documented (Godot API doc is great), there's so much tutorials around and if really you're stuck there's always a forum post with the same problem. On the other side, Assets have become so complex, just look at the number of map you can apply to your mesh. So 80 / 20 seems right

Quoting: DuncProvided you aren't looking for anything too specialized, CC0 Textures [External Link] is a good resource. Also HDRI Haven [External Link] for CC0-licenced HDR environment maps. You probably wouldn't want to use them in a commercial game (although you could), but for a spot of tinkering, they're very good. Thanks for the links, much appreciated, quality stuff in there.
