GOG reveal some stats on how they're doing

Quoting: chickenb00But with a profit of just $1M, I can see why they don't want to invest time and money into that.
This, for all comparing Gog with Steam, with that little profit the linux market is still to small to invest in.

UK CMA blocks the Microsoft takeover of Activision

Quoting: massatt212wasn't surprise this would happen, Sony corruption is too big, Sony even bought another studio last week and complaining how microsoft will take COD there money Goose lol.
This is what you read so often as a defence for the takeover, I am sorry but there is a huuuuuuge diffrent between Sony buying a small studio which not even has a franchise to Microsoft buying BA for 68 billion dollars which has some of the biggest franchises in the game market not to mention the mobile part.

This is so much bigger then Sony PS vs Microsoft xbox, this is about the long run, 10 or 15 years from now.

Microsoft is a company and has an obligation to its shareholders to maximise profit, so yes on the short run everything will be great, BA games on the gamepass, more people will flock to it. There are several trains of though about the gamepass and if it is really good for (small) developers but that is not what this post is about. It is the long run where the money is, get so many people on windows/xbox/gamepass that it will become unavoidable and even epic or steam won't be able to compete against a gamepass on which almost every game will be included for a crazy cheap amount and that is scary for anybody who wants atleast some competition and an open market.

Quoting: BumadarCan this be compared to Rebel Galaxy? I was extremely surprised by that one, the music helped of course but also the freedom it gave next to the story.
It's not all that different from Rebel Galaxy Outlaw in that they are both arcade-style space combat games in an open world, but beyond that they are quite different. I was sorely disappointed in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, I thought their flight model was terrible, and their emphasis on the weird "auto-tracking" feature in which your ship would automatically point toward your target was downright bizarre. Everspace 2 has a flight model very similar to the first game, which I'd describe as in the vein of Freespace but a bitter faster moving. There's also *waaaay* more "stuff" in the game than was in RGO, it takes a lot of cues from more traditional action RPG's: there are tons of weapons, equipment and ships with procedurally generated stat variations. "Borderlands in space" would not be too bad a description.

I'm ultimately more excited about more "realistic" and "systems-based" space games than this, however even as someone who considers himself a huge fan of that genre, I think the developers of those games spend all their time making a cool simulation and don't know (or even sufficiently consider) how to make it into a *game*. The developers of Everspace 2 seem to have taken the approach of taking what they know has been successful for games in other genres and making a space game which is fun first, while superficially satisfying all the requirements to be considered an open space game along the lines of elite. It's an approach that the genre desperately needed to see more examples of.
Thank you.
I did not mention rebel galaxy outlaw for a reason ;)

Quoting: ExpandingManI am super excited about this. I already have about 15 hours in the game, but I've been trying not to sink too much time into it while it's still in EA. I'm a huge fan of sci-fi and space games and this developer definitely knows how to make them fun. I'd already highly recommend it to anyone thinking about picking it up.

Also, have never had any issues with it whatsoever in linux under proton (it's unreal engine, so that's not surprising).

Quoting: legluondunetPlaystation is opening its doors to PC gamers, they are now selling some of their games on Steam and you can play other PS games on the cloud with PS+
With Xbox Game Pass, PC gamers can play XBOX games on the cloud.
The physical console is evolving towards dematerialized and you can play the same games on Windows, Linux, Android through the cloud... Whatever the OS or your hardware.
What awaits Nintendo to follow? There are a lot of Nintendo game fan projects, why? Because people want to play their games, old or new, and they can't! The competition is fierce, I think Nintendo should open up its market, not stay cloistered on a machine or they will disappear, like Sega before.
The mentally of Nintendo seems quite simple, they are happy how things are now, they selling a lot of consoles, they don't really compete with pc/xbox/ps on the AAA front (flashy gfx etc etc). They got their zelda, Mario and focus more on family fun. They shoot anything and everything down which tries to touch their stuff, fan based or not. Sad but that is how it is and as long as they are happy with the yearly results it will not change.

Too many Steam games! Not to mention game time... maybe one day...
I finished it on the ps3, like you got it for the ps5, but am slightly worried I am growing to old for these and will fail miserably
