XCOM 2 developer Firaxis Games has announced that the multiplayer modes are going to be shut down, if you're using the Windows version that is.

XCOM 2 is still to this day one of my absolute favourite strategy games, and now you can experience it free for a whole weekend and get it cheap if you want to continue with it.

XCOM 2, likely one of my absolutely all-time favourite strategy games can be played for free until April 30.

I love seeing all these previews of units coming to XCOM 2: War of the Chosen, as it's a great way to keep us excited for this new expansion. Let's take a look at The Warlock.

I finally found the time to play through the XCOM 2 DLC Shen’s Last Gift and what an experience it was. This has me really excited for more XCOM 2 with the huge War of the Chosen expansion due later this year.

That didn't take long, ideal! XCOM 2 for Linux has been updated to support the huge Long War 2 mod! This mod is massive, seriously massive.

Long War 2 is the massive overhaul mod for XCOM 2 from the same people who did the original Long War for the previous XCOM game.

For those of you who played XCOM, you may remember the mod 'Long War' which expanded the game in many ways and made it a much larger experience. Well, it seems Pavonis Interactive (previously Long War Studios) are working on Long War 2 for XCOM 2.

XCOM 2 for Linux has been patched and it adds official support for Mesa 13.0.1 along with other changes.

After some delay, the latest DLC and patch for XCOM 2 is now out for Linux. Shen’s Last Gift adds mech units to the mix, to better fight the insidious alien threat.
