So coming back to it after playing all of the first two F.E.A.R. games last January, the positional audio problems I was having with F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin have been fixed, and it is a much better experience:

Someone asked in the native Linux gaming forum what is the best free multiplayer role game. Best free ones are for DX9 and Requiem: Rise of the Reaver is one of best free open world game from Steam. Works OK with wine-staging. If the launcher hangs, kill it and try again.
