Total War: WARHAMMER III for Linux updated to v2.2.0, Immortal Empires beta available
19 Nov 2022 at 4:50 pm UTC

Immortal Empires is possibly the most ambitious update/feature that has ever been done for any strategy game to date, and certainly seems to have more weight than the game itself.
Although expensive, and demanding in terms of hardware, to be fair it is incredible to have something like Immortal Empires available natively for Linux and Mac.

When releasing things this late, I don't know that many people will notice or care, which is somehow a consequence of the greed of the publishers, but it's a pity.

Crysis 2 & 3 Remastered finally land on Steam, work great on Steam Deck

Apparently no EA account required, according to reviews. If that is the case, it would make the remakes the more appealing to this crowd (certainly to me).

Skullgirls has cross-play too, right? How come the indie developer SEGA can't make it (cross-play) happen and these absolute software behemoths can?

Quoting: slaapliedjeSweet! This has always been my favorite RTS. Warwind is probably the second, though I need to play that more.
I have seen you post often on these kind of news and was curious (no joke) about what would be your RTS poison of choice.
Good pick, this is from the "golden era", really the other ones on the race could be Total Annihilation and some C&C.

Between OpenRA and 0AD, they are doing an amazing work here. OpenRA engine offers potential long term survival on a game like this, especially if we consider multiplayer.

Command and Conquer series is also good. Myth is an amazing series. Generally I like ones that break the mold of the typical Warcraft II / Star Craft clones.

Like I prefer the games where your units have a bit more personality (as in they can get better over time, and you want to make sure they live through a battle, Myth captures that in an amazing way, as does Warwind.)
Soo.. WarCraft III?
Company practices aside, that went too far on the opposite direction. Heroes didn't have "a bit more personality", they were the center of the whole thing, while the "army" loses so much relevance, that eventually you wonder "who cares about army management" and it becomes... what it became: DotA, League of Legends, DotA2, etc.

I am just astonished by that huge mouse in that tiny mousepad. I wonder about the absurdly high mouse sensitivity this person must use.
That, or the mouse is just for show and one actually moves around the screen with the joystick.

I want Intel to succeed so bad.
BTW, off-topic but it's just impressive how bad of a game Fortnite and Cyberpunk are. And Cyberpunk, at least, has the excuse of beautiful graphics.
