I played it back around Christmas, and I've been eagerly awaiting the full release ever since. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised it's out as soon as it is, given there was still quite a lot of content missing back then, but the core mechanics were really solid and the dev's been really busy with getting regular fixes and such done.
Glad to see in any case. I'll be starting a real runthrough soon, i think.

I'm not really sure what different "look and feel" we're talking about here, and the trailer doesn't tell me either. It seems...slightly more action oriented? Or a little more disturbing during scripted events? Or maybe that's just how the trailer is cut, I can't really tell.

I've had my eye on this for quite a while now, but like a lot of things I'm waiting for it to finally come out of beta to actually play it. Looks like there's still a ways to go, but the development so far is really promising.

Quoting: Liam DaweA lot of indie games do too, since devs often give presentations of earlier builds at trade shows.Quoting: denyasisMakes sense. Thanks for the clarification. I dunno, it's just weird to me to tout your awards before the game is even released or complete.AAA games do it all the time, as they get awards during game events. It's quite normal.

Quoting: denyasis"...Vagrus, an award-winning turn-based post-apocalyptic fantasy RPG."Seems the awards are for the previously released demo/prologue.
Award winning? It's not even out yet?!?

This absolutely looks like my thing. I love that neo-B-movie aesthetic.
Tomb of the Eaters is the 'biggest update ever' for Caves of Qud

I still maintain that the biggest thing that plays against Caves of Qud is hanging on to permadeath as default from its roguelike roots. For an expansive game with so much to cover, it feels like an artifact of older versions that just doesn't add much to the experience outside the daily and weekly challenges.
Yes, you can turn permadeath off and saving on, but those options are buried deep in the options, and are clearly an afterthought. A pity, since I think it presents a barrier to new players.

So roughly the same price as buying all 12 basic tribes on the mobile version. I can live with that.
Pity they haven't done anything with the tech tree. It gets kind of stale after a few games, particularly since every tribe uses the same progression.

It won't install from the client for me (on up to date Ubuntu-MATE). I assume it's the same appimage issue.
