I've always been a huge fan of KDE. I've tried xfce but not much. Do you recommend it? How would you compare it to KDE?

Proton 7.0-5 out now for Steam Deck & Linux desktop, 14 newly playable games

Love it, and love your new profile pic Liam :). I'd just wish we had a better way to go around the damned anti-cheat :(

By the way, now that they released this version... I've read a bit about it, but what would be exactly the difference between Proton Experimental and Proton 7.0-5? Could someone elaborate a bit about it? What pros and cons for each version? Which one would you recommend?

The best Linux distribution for gaming in 2023
3 Dec 2022 at 12:40 pm UTC

I agree as some have said about using Pop!_OS over Ubuntu. In fact I used to recommend Ubuntu. I didn't use to see what others did about Pop, in my case it was usually a worse experience.

After some years, for me, it's been a point where Pop surpassed Ubuntu in many ways. Specially in the gaming part. Top-notch installation, fast and polished, non bloated.

I'm not usually a fan of a company, but System76 really makes me feel different about it. Now I find myself recommending Pop!_OS for Linux newcomers.

To conclude, I'm now jumping between Pop and Arch constantly, but Pop makes it look so easy most of the time.

Note that this is just a humble opinion from a guy who tries to be as humble as he can. :)

plz Liam, I've been a follower of the webpage for a while already I'm having a problem with almost all the games you review...

I have enough games on Steam to feel like I'm playing pokemon.

While I already surrendered about the fact that I'm gonna be broke for the rest of my life... I don't have enough time to play everything! Give me a rest!

I'd wish Starbound devs had the same love for their game that Terraria devs have

Terraria is awesome and it's magnificent that they have native support for Linux

You Liam... You're making me broke man, I swear! Please don't show me more of this stuff!

(man... The feeling about playing this after I played the older game. This has been like going back to my childhood, man I love them for making this magnificent game!)

It works flawlessly on Linux and the Play together function make this game so, SO GOOD.
