Can you monitor/control fan speed?
Also do you know if coreboot will be available in the future?
EDIT: What is "TCO certified" on 4th pic? (looks like verification for sustainable tech products and there is the Dev One [External Link]

Minecraft - The Wild Update is out now, Java & Bedrock now one purchase

Quoting: RandomizedKirbyTree47Last time I checked buying BE on one platform didn't give it to you on any other platform. Has that changed? Does buying Minecraft on desktop now give you Bedrock on Android, or vice versa?
No it hasn't but there is a catch with the bundle. If you previously own MC Java you get MC for Windows (aka. Bedrock) for FREE and vica versa. What I had was not Android MC, I had MC for Windows because the price of that was %80 percent lower than MC Java. Also it is not possible to play MC for Win on Linux so I couldn't play MC on Linux.
Until now.

Quoting: RandomizedKirbyTree47My concern is that they are planning on discontinuing Java edition
They can't. Most players will prefer Java over Bedrock because Java supports mods but Bedrock doesn't. Millions of people (no exaggeration) would go nuts if they did that.

Not that it particularly matters to Linux players
It does matter for me. I had the bedrock edition only because java was way more expensive but now I can play minecraft on linux.

Quoting: slaapliedjeI was wondering if we could look up how many people went and ruined their Deck by installing Windows on it...
Well I tried to make a guess from survey data and Windows on Deck users are not much.

Quoting: MohandevirGot the survey twice, yesterday, when I tried different Distros on an old laptop (Kubuntu and Manjaro).
I got the survey when running "SteamOS Holo" in a VM  but not in May.

Steam Deck already hits over 5% of Linux users on Steam

I noticed something:

* Limiting the survey to Linux and listing the videocard description puts Steam Deck GPU to ~%5, Linux share is ~%1. So roughly %0.05 of PCs are Steam Decks running Linux. We already know this.
* Limiting the survey to Windows only and listing Vulkan GPUs list various GPUs. At the bottom of the list there are GPUs with less than %0.01 usage and an "Other" entry. The Steam Deck GPU (AMD Custom APU 0405) doesn't appear so it goes to "Other. In other words Decks running Windows are less than %0.01.

So, victory?

The month has passed already but anyways, if I am using nvidia open kernel modules should I propriearty or open source GPU driver? Theoritically I should choose open source becuase pretty much every GPU deiver is propriearty firmware + open software stack except on Nvidia open all graphics stack is in the firmware.

Quoting: NanobangAnd did I understand correctly that they're only now putting Steam in a Snap?
That is part of Canonical's going "all in gaming" but Steam is available as .deb directly shipped by Valve.
