THAT DPAD THOUGH.
Seriously, this alone would make me reconsider ever buying this.
Other than that I'm glad it exists to bring more competition to the space, and everything else about it looks fine (the whole sticks in the wrong place thing never really bothered me) provided you can turn off the leds. I hope its successful and more of theses mobile handsets start moving to this and off of windows 11.

Ouch a 5080 for 1k. damn.
I might have to side with you guys on the high end vs aaa releases. In the past year I've tried:
- Dragons Dogma 2 - won't run at all. Continuously crashes the entire gpu and then the system into a hard lock. tons of similar posts on protondb.
- Dragon Age Veilguard - aimed squarely at 8 and 9 year olds. Too dumbed down for me to enjoy.
- Starfield - had a blast, was really fun.
- Horizon Forbidden West - huge letdown, did not enjoy whatsoever. Ran phenomenally well technically, the game was just designed horribly.
- Metaphor - currently playing, seems okay I guess. Hasn't yet clicked but I'll give it more time.
And then I haven't even tried Stalker 2 even though I REALLY want to because it's so broken.
I guess my tastes are changing, so only really one single aaa release I enjoyed. The rest were indie games like Caves of Qud, Songs of Silence, Dread Delusion, stuff like that.

Cue the hunt for Aloy. I really hope they cast an unknown. Could be a really good movie if done correctly.

Yeah the 11 inch makes zero sense. Seems like they're just doing that because there is no competition in that size (for good reason).
LOL at the controllers "scifi white lines" and leds. Looks SO BAD.

Honestly that was one of the worst keynotes I think I've ever seen. Absolutely no info whatsoever on the gpus which is the most depressing. Having some new kickass cpus is nice I guess, but I've been waiting for rdna4 info for what seems like ages now and they just totally skipped over it and gave us nothing other than a basic name. No dates, no specs, no prices, nothing. It felt like almost the entire keynote was on stupid ai garbage. This is also at the same time openai is saying its entire business model makes no sense and they lose money on even the crazy high expensive subscription. I CANNOT WAIT for this ai bubble to burst.
Anyway, back to the keynote: A huge let down overall.

I don't really care about the cpu's, but I am VERY glad to hear that they are saying they're committed to the desktop gpu market. I was worried with the insanity going on at Intel, they'd just totally cancel the entire division.
