Quoting: LanzI live... again! Cultic is fantastic. It really measures up well to its obvious inspiration, Blood.
Thank you so much for mentioning Cultic, I loved Blood but somehow missed this one!

There's even a demo to try!

Quoting: slaapliedjeRandom conversation yesterday started me on the path of 'why is it called the Amazon anyway, did the conquistadors find a bunch of warrior women in the Jungle when they first traveled there?' Still don't know the answer...
You made me curious, went to to Wikipedia... and that's pretty much what happened: Spanish conquistadors were attacked by female warriors while exploring the river.

Makes you wonder if Jeff Bezos was bullied by teenage girls in school?

Quoting: slaapliedjeBy the way, everything should be written in NCurses, graphics are way overrated.

Quoting: amataiWait, what ? Wasn't this a NCurses game on everyone's distro repos ? How can it be not available on Linux ?
I was going to reply with 'never have seen it in the Debian repos!' but it IS there. Did they only just add it for Bullseye?
Looking at the changelog, it has been in Debian since 2017.

Just FYI it's a design pattern. It covers how the dock looks, not how it works.

They do not have a patent for RGB on the Steam Deck.

Quoting: EagleDeltaYou're missing that the Steamworks SDK, which is required to distribute a game on Steam, and since the Steamworks License is incompatible with "copyleft" licenses, any exceptions to the GPL to allow a piece of software to be distributed on Steam must be agreed to/decided on by the Software Authors, not just anybody.

Source: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/sdk/uploading/distributing_opensource [External Link]
That only refers to linking the binary with the SDK library, it's not a necessity to publish on Steam.

The SDK also contains shell scripts and helper tools to upload builds. Not a problem to use those with GPL licensed software.
