Zeepkist 2021 Bouncy Downhill DrivingThis one's really good fun. I got it in Humble's karting bundle earlier in the year (though it's actually a soapbox-racing title, not a karting one). It's an Early Access game, but already has a hell of a lot on offer.
Linux share on Steam back to nearly 2% thanks to Steam Deck

Quoting: BlackBloodRumYou young'uns and your new fancy technology, you don't know what you're missing out on *shakes walking stick*.It's official, Rum has metamorphosed into Cranky Kong [External Link].
Back in my day we didn't have those fancy flashy portable devices you hold in your hand and take everywhere with you. We had these things that sat on a desk that had at least two monitors and a tower unit to power those monitors.
When we were teens, we would spend all day hacking away at code on our desktop computers! No silly games, no fancy phones just pure childhood joy of computer coding, as all children should have!
Honestly, the youth of today. You just don't get it.
/me walks off grumbling about the youth of today while using walking stick.

Still, it makes a change from jiggle-physics being exclusive to female characters, doesn't it?

there's one other little feature that they didn't seem to talk about, that plenty have been discovering to great surprise. I am of course talking about willy physics. Yes, all those people upset at release that there wasn't any wobbly bits can now rejoice. I don't think you really need to see it but video proof (NSFW, obviously). Glorious.I couldn't stop laughing! (Act your age, Pengling!)

More of Super Bomberman R 2 [External Link] (Proton), so no change there, but here's Bomberman in a nice festive outfit for the season.
Also, I finished the delightfully-silly Chop Goblins [External Link] (Proton) during the week...
... And I just got started on Battle City [External Link] (NES), via RetroDECK [External Link].

Quoting: GuestIt seems Bnet has been breaking fairly often as of late. It's a shame since I remember it being one of the more reliable ones in WINE;I'm not too surprised, honestly, since they're Microsoft-owned now. :dizzy:
So what the heck is an 'indie game' nowadays anyway?

Quoting: RomlokIf we take game awards as a celebration of games as an art form, rather than as a business,These particular awards have a history of excluding companies who've offended its founder's friends (and even when having to include Castlevania: Nocturne due to needing five nominations for the new Best Adaptation category, all of the other game-devs are named but not Konami - they only credit Netflix and Powerhouse Animation). I'm not sure art is their first priority...

It's the same as how they had to add an ill-defined "Family" category in which to shuffle off games that they originally opted not to include at all, due to the show aiming for the "Those aren't REAL GAMES!" crowd at the beginning.

As otherwise, you likely would just get the huge publisher games filling up every yearThat's generally how The Godawful Awards was from the outset - there being an "indie" category at all is simply lip-service, because it's entirely The Dorito Pope [External Link]'s childhood imaginings made real (no, really, it is [External Link] - it replicates a show he was hired for as a kid ), which is more focussed on movie trailers and live band performances than it is on video games.

More of Super Bomberman R 2 [External Link], as per usual. Always a joy.
Also;
I've been getting back into Super Destronaut DX [External Link], which I had back when I owned a Nintendo Switch, and which I re-bought on Steam at a steep discount recently.
And, after years of people recommending it to me and me researching it, I finally stepped out of my comfort-zone and picked up Stardew Valley [External Link].
