Nothing really jumps out at me.

Maybe I can't do stuff when applications need to play catchup like WINE just isn't able to scale applications (StarCraft 1) on Wayland like 800p up to 3840p or Krita waiting on v6.0 and Qt6 for Wayland support.

I don't come up with a whole lot, and efforts like this to close the gaps are more than welcome, Valve has done a tremendous job getting the (linux) "ship" upgraded and optimized.
Screen Readers, for one thing. I like to use Crow Translate for its OCR capabilities to sometimes get a sneak peek at some manga before it gets translated by someone, but Crow Translate is completely busted on Wayland, at least on my setup.

Additionally, while I'm not PERSONALLY visually impaired, I knew someone who was, and the lack of screen reader capabilities for Wayland in general is a gaping hole in accessibility features.

Additionally, I do not appear to be able to span a game across multiple monitors in full screen unless the game is running in windowed mode, locking me away from eyefinity-like gameplay on my main PC.

If there is anyone who understands testing and rapid iteration, it's Valve. 100% on board with this, but then again I am an end user, not a developer. I also don't like the tendency to say "Xorg is dead" but also "Why do you need [thing only Xorg can do]? We're not working on that." cause while I'm not Xorg fan, understand why it's deprecated, and really appreciate a lot of what Wayland is doing, when a user says "Hey, I need this because ____" the answer is never supposed to be "Well tough shit then." but I've seen Wayland development have that mindset at times.

Frankly, the amount of time it takes the Wayland project developers to agree on certain things is ridiculous (why do we not have application Multi-Window management yet last I checked? That's a really basic thing.) and I'm pretty much in agreement with the things Xpander touched on in this comments section.

I find it odd that the overlay has been around for a while and I never even heard about what the problem is.
This, seriously, we never got word on WHY Ghost of Tsushima's multiplayer doesn't work because of PSN, I have never heard anyone say it's because of anticheat, it's kinda unique in that regard. I mean, Helldivers worked.

As long as it works on linux, I'm not too fussed the way I play it. Don't like stuff putting shit in my /.config and /home directories anyway. At most to me this just means it takes 2 more seconds to start up.

A perfect controller to me is just the steam deck as is with no screen or computer included, hall effect joysticks, and they add the HD Rumble/Haptic Trigger effects from a DualSense. Additionally they make the 4 grip triggers easier to press without adding rubber extender addons.

This way, all the steam input profiles that get made with a Steam Deck, can just transfer with ease over to docked mode.

Not really, I'd actually just be super happy that the Steam Deck 2 exists at all, even in this magical fantasy worst case scenario where we get a SD2 release in Australia first I'd be more than happy to wait however long it takes for the SD2 to come to the states.

...Assuming it has the same control scheme as SD1, that is. I'm extremely worried that Valve is going to remove things because certain people think they don't need the touchpads and 4 grip triggers while I can't go back to not having those on a controller.

29 games are getting delisted from GOG

As someone who owns some delisted GOG games like Riddick Assault on Dark Athena, this usually just means you can't buy them anymore.

As for the games being delisted, I don't play favorites enough with games to think of this as anything but a tragedy for game preservation, but admittedly the only one of these games that looks slightly appealing to me is WarForwards and even that looks like it's missing something I can't quite put my finger on.

My favorite steam related memory is Potato ARG hype back when Portal 2 was about to come out.

A bunch of people in Killing Floor 1 collectively gathering together just absolutely ecstatic to look at a door and unweld it for a while to see one singular potato and going "WHAT DOES IT MEAN!?".

People genuinely playing any game valve tells them to for achievements just to get a whiff of the new game before launch. People literally decoding audio images from a portal 1 update that changed the radios when you moved them to hyper specific locations, being rewarded for going fully insane about easter eggs and collaborating as much as you see the community collaborate and speculate nowadays whenever Hideo Kojima releases a weird new trailer for a game with several scenes out of context.

We're probably never going to have anything like that ever again for a big release and that makes me sad, the art of the ARG is something pretty much only relegated to smaller projects and youtube analog horror these days, not big releases like what Valve did. I feel like if you tried to do it now, people are so accustomed to not having this that it'd probably go unnoticed, enough time has passed that people just don't expect things like that to happen anymore outside of the horror genre.
