Parkitect - What Roller Coaster Tycoon Should Have Grown Into

Well, at least about 20 years ago.
I'm pretty sure I will buy SC when it is released
and reliable reviews tell me "it's good".

Quoting: pd12I played Wing Commander III-V and loved them.Quoting: subDoes it feature a single-player campaign?I am a chronic Star Citizen fan-advertiser, but you should check out Star Citizen [External Link] if you want a good single player game. It includes a single player campaign in 3 installments * 10 "episodes/missions" (all included in the base game), with 15+hrs of gameplay each installment. And yes, they have announced Linux, although haven't had much else Linux news, apart from the fact that they run their servers on Linux. Check out https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/112557 [External Link] if you want the latest Linux news on Star Citizen =P
If not - no money from me.
I'm done with sandbox-only games. :/
Yes, I might be the only gamer left on
earth looking for catchy SP campaigns.

Think of combining displays of different geometry. Think of combinations of rotated displays / pivot. Think of different approaches how displays are addressed: Extended Desktop, Xinerama, Merged Framebuffer, Zaphod, etc... While all that is typically supported by the drivers and X, it can (and will) give you headaches in all thinkable ways (and beyond).
Programs that take the wrong display number. Programs that get the right display but taking the geometry of the other display (in case of different geometries). Programs SEGFAULTing in fullscreen because the other(!) screen is rotated. Inconsistent treatment of the parameter "primary display". I guess, I could go on for another 5 minutes.
I worked with a dual screen setup for nearly 5 years (Radeon, Catalyst, intel). One display rotated (that's really great for writing and reading/viewing stuff) while the displays had different geometries. I'm now better off with single a 27" monitor of higher resolution.

Quoting: EKRboiWould be interesting (to me at least) to see how many people actually try to game on more than one monitor in Linux, I feel that I am all alone sometimes. I have only ever spoken to one other person who I know does. Maybe next month it can be one of the one time questions. IMO it wouldn't make sense to game on 2 monitors as usually the focal point of a game is the center, and on 2 would be right where the bezels of the monitors are. From my experience multi-monitor support is still a pain.
It certainly doesn't "just work" 9 times out of 10, but as with many things in Linux, you can usually work around it.

Even if not 100% perfect, shouldn't we get to a stable set of questions soon?
That would allow to see data change over time in a consistent way.

I might buy it once it includes a campaign.
Early access is of no use to those waiting for
features (probably) added at the end of dev cycle.
I bought Prison Architect (not for a discount) to support
the project. It looks very good concerning the game
mechanics, but the promised campaign is not yet included.

Will there be a campaign or goals?
Very likely, but it will come near the end of development. Sandbox mode for now.

I love what you do, Aspyr!
Seriously, even if I still can't enjoy Borderlands 2 with a 7950 and Catalyst.
If that isn't true love, what is? <3

GOG Announces 20+ LucasArts Classics To Release On The Digital Platform

Quoting: DrMcCoyThanks for your input, Doc! :)Quoting: sub(@Dr. McCoy) Does the SCUMMVM project get some money from GOG?I am not the person doing any of the company relations or whatever you call that. Probably for the better too, since I'm quite inept at that. So take that as a disclaimer; I might be misinformed here.
Either by donation or a share from each sold copy?
But from what I am aware, we do not directly get any money from sold games using ScummVM. We do have this usual partnership thing going on, where when you buy games through a click-through from a link found on our website, we get a certain percentage. From what I know, that's all.
Quoting: subI know GOG is not obligated to do so but wouldn't it be a fair move?Well, my position on that is pretty well known: yes, I do think that would be fair, and I'm saddened that many people don't see it that way.
But for me, far more important is that I'd like to see them advertise that they use ScummVM on the individual game pages, press releases, etc. And that ScummVM is FLOSS released under the terms of the GPLv3.
The other mixed feelings I have about Night Dive Studios aside, I really like that they say on the Steam pages for the games they rerelease, that they use ScummVM and that ScummVM is FLOSS. Ditto with the DotEmu store. GOG on the other hand never do that; and it disappoints me.
