I can see the droves of Linux gamers jumping off of Fedora already if Steam doesn't work anymore…

Small SteamOS update for Legion Go S, and faster Steam startup time if you have lots on non-Steam games

I wish they would fix some of the actually jarring issues :dizzy:such as the low battery indicator not working and night mode causing severe stuttering every time.

SteamOS 3.7.10 Beta brings a Steam Deck OLED WiFi fix, new accessibility options and more work for other handhelds

I'm on SteamOS 3.7.10 but my DS4 can still wake my LCD Deck from sleep

GOG now ask for donations when you buy games

No promised native Linux client = no donations. It's literally as simple as that. As long as they continue ignoring Linux I have no interest in spending any money on GOG, for games or otherwise.Steam ftw

Steam Beta finally enables Proton on Linux fully, making Linux gaming simpler

I was seeing so much confusion from people across the board, even nerdy people like me at the 'Available for Windows' notice. Even Tomshardware, who recently blogged some Linux gaming, had no idea this toggle even existed, and they've been using Linux for 25 years. I even had to show a friend how to enable the global compatibility on Steam for all titles. So glad to see this is a thing of the past now. Or at least with the next Stable update, it should be

If you can spare some cash, don't forget to support the KDE devs. They're working tirelessly to bring us this amazing Desktop Environment completely for free and I think they deserve all the support

Yes, there is going to be a Linux version. If it was ready, it would be out. It is not and it is decisively harder project than the mac version as it has far more tests and features. That is part of the reason why we tackled mac first. The other part is that every system that would be running Linux can right now already be tested by installing Windows dual boot, while Macs cannot really do that (well, you could have run iOS version, but it was decisively not optimal way to test the systems and it ran against platform vsync cap on high end macs).

Steam Deck and SteamOS hit 20,000 playable games

I feel like some of us should bake a celebratory cake and tag @Steam and @ValveSoftware in a picture of it
But THE CAKE IS A LIE

In all seriousness though, 20K games is extremely impressive  Remember that PS4 only had 3,500 games, and Nintendo Switch only has 6000 titles. Both consoles have existed far longer than the Steam Deck though

FBC: Firebreak from Remedy gets Steam Deck Verified ahead of release

I checked it out during the closed technical test and I was really not impressed. I'm not going to buy the full game that's for sure

3DMark are planning a Linux version but no date for it yet

While 3DMark can run with Proton, the overall experience is very very broken… most likely because it's calling low-level Windows API that Wine does not implement. For starters, it doesn't even recognize your Steam purchases unless you fiddle with the wine registry. Then you have to disable systeminfo for it not to hang during a test. But this also means they show up as 'unknown GPU' and 'Unknown'.

It's literally the definition of 'Borked' right now:cry:
