AMD state they will support Vulkan on Linux in an upcoming amdgpu driver, not ready yet

It truly is shameful that AMD's code is in the heart of Vulkan but, as expected, they're not ready with the driver.

Sunless Sea looks like it may get an official Linux build, game looks creepy & awesome

I've played it a few times and it's quite fun, albeit VEEEERY weird. The devs seems very nice too. They've actually had a Linux alpha for quite some time, now, and anybody who had a proof of owning the game could request the tarball. In fact, they have stated multiple times that they wished for a proper Linux release but as they lacked the recources and time - they couldn't do it, but if ever possible they will finish the port. I hope this is a good lesson to all of the haters (you know who you are), who sh*t on any developer who admits to lacking time/skill/resources to port for Linux. Anyway, wait for the final release and buy it. It is well worth it.

Steam Beta adds hardware accelerated encoding for Nvidia on Linux, Steam Controller major update
11 Feb 2016 at 8:44 am UTC

I thought Nvidia hardware encoding was already available. Or was that just on Windows? In Windows they discourage you from using the AMD encoding and actively promote Nvidia or Intel and getting AMD decoding on Linux forced me to install 32bit Ubuntu instead of 64bit, but I always assumed Nvidia encoding and decoding was working flawlessly in Linux. Interesting.

ARK: Survival Evolved devs throwing money at BattlEye for Linux support, good news for Arma 3 too

"Why isn't this EARLY ACCESS game working flawlessly for an OS used by less than one percent of its playerbase?!?!?". Could some of you be more entitled? Anyway - great news. I've had a good feeling about the Arma III port and this only brings it closer to actually becoming official.

Batman: Arkham Knight for Linux & SteamOS cancelled

And this is why last summer I told you all - don't get your hopes up, game is unfixable. But some of you were like "oh the Linux port will be fixed of all the bugs". Hate to say I told so... but I did. Still, sad news.

Gothic RPG roguelike Darkest Dungeon coming soon to Linux

Hah, I was checking it out yesterday, thinking: "No Linux port... Odd." :)

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Linux & SteamOS port has been put on hold

I have the feeling this one will make its way to Linux with a UT engine 4 port, in the end.

Seems a bit bottlenecked at 1080p. I doubt it's the CPU though.
