This was one of my major grips with their chassis. Since motherboard deaths are the major contributor of trowing out a entire chassis, for those bespoke models, this will increase the reparability tremendously.
My other grip with them is the absence of frontal output. USB, audio, a real reset button. Those are important things that is inexcusable for not be present in expensive systems like those they sell.

Some devs, even the ones doing commercial stuff, just don't get it, or blatantly refuse, to accept that not all Linux users feel comfortable with the command line. It is a attitude problem. The old excuse for lack of standardization doesn't cut anymore.

Quoting: elmapulSorry, I don't agree. If you have a app and are releasing it out there for people to use, you can do your part to easy things for the end user, just like you do with the Windows executable. Appimage is not a new thing, and way before it, some devs just released a compressed file with precompiled stuff and their dependencies. Just drop it on a folder and off you go. Mozilla does it for ages with Firefox and Thunderbird.Quoting: M@GOidI wish Appimage became more widespread. So many projects have a Linux port but don't provide a convenient way to use the thing. Meanwhile those same projects don't have a problem providing a Windows executable.its not the developers fault if we dont have an standard on linux like windows have with .exe, we are just now making those techs that work across distros and even with then some distros chose to not support all of then or offer a crap support so we still have to solve "political problems" before we can solve "techinical" ones, not to mention is a bit hard to make those packages last time i checked.
That just contribute to the bad look Linux have among Windows users "I don't use Linux because I don't want to compile a program to use it".
but hey, if you think otherwise you can always package yourself once they relase the source code...

Well, Steam became a success and did much to reduce piracy in countries where it was endemic (like here in Brazil), because it was a cheap way to buy games. You can bet your furry ass that game piracy will increase a lot in the coming months, in places where the price increased in the high double-digits.
Also, now is time to Epic to put their wallets where their mouths are, and start offering lower prices than Steam, after all, they said in court the market needs competition... But we all know how this gonna end.

When the trailer started, I was thinking "great, one more third-person adventure...", then the hook thingy showed up and the little walking clock for small spaces.
Now I'm curious about it. If they manage to make it good enough I may grab it.

Is this kind of thing that I miss in big studio (AAA) games. Things are so generic that is difficult to be surprised by a new game from big companies. And when you find a game from them that resemble anything innovative, you can feel the wasted potential, because it is obvious that the creators original vision was castrated to "appeal to a bigger audience".

Interesting. When this came out on Steam, the Linux version wasn't available. Then I saw the reviews and it was not encouraging. But now that I see that Ethan Lee is involved, I found a good justification to grab it, after all, his game track record with me is pretty good.
