Given their relaxed policy about refunding reasons I can imagine a method right now.

Quoting: kalinThink again.Quoting: dubigrasuWell, I hope they are well prepared for the incoming flood of refund requests. There is nothing for abuse. This probably is valid only for purchases after this agreement change and only if 14 days are not passed and only if game are played less then 2 hours
I'm sure there will be plenty of people trying to abuse the system.

Splatter - Blood Red Edition, A Top-down Shooter With A Film-noir Style Single Player, Thoughts & Video

Very nice game indeed.
I'm not too much into top-down shooters and didn't planed to play it all the way through (I was just testing it) but I ended up playing it few times.
The gameplay is really nice and satisfying, while sound and lightning are awesome.
Exploration is rewarded (don't forget to break all those crates) and you get more powerful weapons and upgrades as the game unfolds, keeping you glued to the screen.
The only thing that I sorely missed is force-feedback for my gamepad, it would've been a great addition if implemented.
But hey, have I mentioned that it has great lighting?

Quoting: GuestEdit: worth noting that when I started the game the menu background was black, and then the game itself was black too (I could only see the HUD) until I fell from a bridge and then I could see the world.I have seen this few times before using DLM, more exactly when I disabled Film Grain (or whatever is called).

You'll find in the zip a screenshot of the settings I used.
BTW, I can make some specific settings if you want, and upload them.

Quoting: GuestNot sure if the chromatic aberration is really removed actually, you need to test it.Quoting: dubigrasuFor those willing to get some performance back and get rid of some of those pesky effects I would recommend to use the Dying Light ManagerBig thanks! I’ll try removing the chromatic crap ASAP. Does your "out.zip" change anything else than blur and chromatic?

For those willing to get some performance back and get rid of some of those pesky effects I would recommend to use the Dying Light Manager: http://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight/mods/18/ [External Link]?
Be sure to use a 64-bit wineprefix and remember that the manager wasn't updated for a while, so some settings might not work after recent DL updates.
I'm not sure anymore about chromatic aberration fix, but at least it can still remove the motion blur effects (see video).
The app will create a "DyingLight" folder in your "/home/user".
Copy the "/home/user/DyingLight/out/data" folder to
".../steamapps/common/Dying Light/DW/out" folder.

Or try mine: out.zip [External Link]

Well, there is a performance improvement and it does look better.
Thing is, whatever performance we gained is consumed by those effects previously absent, so in the end (for me at least) the performance is indeed increased, but not by much.
I have now around 80-120 FPS with brief dips to 55-60 in the Old Town, which is very similar with what I had previously.
All in all though I'm very satisfied by this update, we got SSAO back (yay) and some other nice touches like rain drops on cars/walls etc.
(the sixth sense distortion wave is still absent though)
What can I say, the game looks awesome now and is totally playable.
I'm now running everything on max except Distance and Antialiasing.
The annoying thing with Antialiasing is that it creates a ugly blur (it does it on Windows too) so I prefer to force FXAA from the Nvidia control panel.
Oh, and I'm also not crazy about motion blur and chromatic aberration, so I got them removed.

I think this would be a interesting unique question for the monthly survey; do you use a gamepad & what model?
