To the Moon, the game was sitting in my library since December 2016 so I think it's more than time to have a look at it! Not bad so far (about 1 hour in it), sad story with an old console era vibe for the graphics and gameplay! :|

Played it some weeks ago, imho the first person view needs a bit more polishing for immersion (it's too "rigid" for my taste) and the "quality of life" in the inventory could be also improved (the game needs a manual rotation because now you have to wait during the slooooow automatic rotation if you want to see the other side of an object)... but it could become a good game as it is a nice "proof of concept" (note that the key remapping wasn't working for me)! :)

I can only speak for Kubuntu 18.04 (coming from Ubuntu 16.04, Unity DE), but zero problem with it for Steam and gaming (or whatever else I use in my work) (Nvidia with proprietary drivers - 418.56 - added with the "graphics-drivers" ppa)! :)

I've encountered difficulties when trying to install Kubuntu 18.04 on my girlfriend's PC (previously on vanilla Ubuntu 18.04) with live-DVD and live-USB and I've performed these steps for fully migrating (following a tutorial on ubuntu-fr.org):

sudo apt install kubuntu-desktop

Then I've selected SDDM instead of GDM (when prompted by the terminal) as a login manager. An then:

sudo apt install deborphan

Then:

sudo apt remove `apt-cache depends ubuntu-desktop | cut -d : -f 2 | grep gnome`
sudo apt remove `dpkg -l | grep gnome | cut -d \  -f 3`
sudo apt remove $(deborphan)

On next reboot KDE might be broken, so switching to terminal (ctrl + alt + F2) and log with login and password

sudo apt reinstall kubuntu-desktop

...or maybe "sudo apt install kubuntu-desktop" I'm not sure... but after that the PC was on Kubuntu without any bug or whatever... :whistle:

Edit: obviously that might not be the cleanest way to have Kubuntu 18.04 but as a fresh install was failing... :|

Ah, sorry, I was believing that Steam would link it if available on the store... So yeah, probably doesn't count as "played on Linux" or anything else if Steam does not report back to the dev' (that's unfortunate)... :(

Hmmm, honestly I don't see why a game added to your Steam library as a non-Steam game would not behave as a game purchased through Steam if you launch the game via Steam (the dev' will probably be reported that the game has not been bought on Steam but will also know that the game has been played via Steam and Proton, counting as "played on Linux"). :|

Yes if you launch the game through Steam, and it will be reported as "played on Linux" to the dev' (counting as a Linux sale). :)
