Sid Meier's Civilization VI is getting 6 new DLC and 6 free updates with the 'New Frontier Pass'

Quoting: Liam DaweI'm not talking about additional ports. I was talking about updates, they can't have abandoned something if they're going to be updating this with each DLC and update coming. That was my overall point.
Don't quite agree with that. They can still have made a decision not to do anything with Linux other than fulfilling their remaining obligations. That still counts as abandoning.

We're coming up to a year since the last BL2 DLC was released (also for Mac) and even longer since co-op compatibility was broken. Any BL2 player on Linux has a right to feel abandoned. And to be frank, I don't trust Aspyr anymore. They haven't even said a word about it since then and just left it the way it is. How am I supposed to trust that they won't do anything like that again. So with the information that Aspyr has given me, I conclude that they abandoned Linux. And a few extra DLC for Civ is not enough to change my opinion.

This feature has been reminding me of stuff I didn't even know I owned. :D

Awesome looking adventure 'BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION' should now look great on AMD & Intel GPUs

I completely missed that the Linux build was put public already. Thanks for the reminder so I can rectify my non-ownership tonight! :D

Quoting: NezchanHonestly, that may be the most bland-looking protagonist I've ever seen. Maybe the story's engaging and gameplay exciting, but the idea of spending a whole game with T-Shirt Boy there turns me off.
Well, to write a compelling story you expect people with plenty of creativity. Then I look at the company name and think...... ok, better not get too hyped on this one.

Unreal Engine 4.25 is up with tons of Linux improvements and Vulkan API fixes

Quoting: Luke_NukemArgh. That bloody awful penguin looks out of place amongst all other logos. It needs a serious update.
What Linux could use is a logo. Tux was a mascot and never a logo. I don't even think it was ever "officially" adopted either. But since there is no official logo to use, the mascot has been taken as such and, as you see, it does look very much out of place.

Quoting: EhvisI thought this would be a good reason to finally have a look at KOTOR2. Apparently not. It doesn't do anything. Just starts, no window and the process sits there sleeping. No errors, no logs, nothing.

Anybody that can still get this to work?
Worked first time here.
Apparently it wasn't just KOTOR2. Nothing started. Reboot fixed everything. Not sure what was up there.

Valve drops support for SteamVR on macOS to focus on Linux & Windows

Most power right now is probably with the Hackintosh users. Which still use the official nvidia drivers.

Quoting: CreakI am mostly worried about the reason why they dropped VR for an entire platform that has more users than Linux's. Obviously, financially, it makes little sense.
This is exactly why I would have liked a bit more detail from Valve.

Sucks for mac users. Too bad the message is so short because some details would have been nice. Obviously Apple is having its own lockdown and it may be that (besides the lack of Vulkan support), that supporting hardware through the Steam client is going to be a problem in the future. None of the mac users that I know have VR hardware, so not sure how big the impact will be.
