I have too long a backlog, but this definitely looks like it will scratch the Elite Dangerous flying itch I've been having... Anyone played both Elite Dangerous and this? Specifically the flying, how does it compare?
Size doesn't matter! Not even for a backlog. :P

Haven't played Elite Dangerous. Did play X3 though. Flying is a bit different in this one though. It has the mouse as the primary control and using a controller was almost impossible for me. It doesn't even recognise joysticks (unless that added that recently). So it will basically fly towards where you point your cross hair and you control strafe/roll with the keyboard. It kind of works for the game though.

The "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" image has red exclamation marks over the Mac and Linux icons and it says "key not available". Anybody know what that means?

Quoting: fabertaweI suspect you're advocating starting with WOTC ;)
Technically I can't because I haven't tried WotC myself yet because I'm well into the base game.

I started with regular XCOM and never did Enemy Within due to lack of time. So for me it probably would have been better to start with the expansion immediately. But everybody has their own way.

Quoting: fabertaweSo my question is, should I jump straight into "War Of The Chosen" or play XCOM 2 vanilla first?
Ask yourself this: when after finishing a campaign of maybe 40 or 50 hours, will you have the time and drive to do it a second time?

Did you think I don't religiously check every damn news post on this site anyway? :P

Of course you're right, I am interested. I didn't have anything interesting to say, but I am one of the two (as of now) people to have "liked" the article.
Indeed! All I need to know now is that this game is not too easy. :P

Wow that voice over in the video is annoying. Some weird voice synthesizer stuff I'm guessing.

Does anybody know details about that "HLSL support"? If that works like it suggests, this could be massive for multi platform engines like UE4 and Unity3D.

Probably not so much for Linux. And this problem does not occur for everybody. I've never seen it myself.
