Steam Deck gets a quieter fan again, and louder volume in the latest updates

When I updated earlier this week, I got a bug where the quick settings menu would appear fullscreen and the content aligned all the way to the left of the screen instead of staying on the right where it belongs. I hope this got fixed.

Fall Guys to become Epic Exclusive for new owners, so no Steam Deck support then

Quoting: Liam DaweHeroic will not rescue games like this that use client-side anti-cheat, unless the developer opts to support Linux / Proton / Steam Deck through Epic which is VERY unlikely since Epic has absolutely no support of Linux for the store.
That remains to be seen. If the back end has enabled proton support, then it is possible that moving the support files into the Epic install will make it work. Soon somebody will be able to make an Epic account and test it out.

Currently you cannot set it to just Playable titles.
I'm unsure why I would want to do that, though?

"Give me perfect" and "give me good (including perfect)" seem like the most interesting choices if you are looking for something to play on Deck...
I even have untested shown. That made me start playing The Coma, which is a perfect fit for the deck even though it is still untested.

Something is weird with those numbers. A virtual 120" screen doesn't mean anything without a distance. However, it also says 55 pixels per degree, which comes out at a horizontal FOV of 34.9 degrees, which would put it at about 4.2 meters away. Good as a big screen TV, but a regular monitor would cover a much larger part of your field of view, which for my work monitor is about 55 degrees. So more like a console/TV experience than a gaming PC/monitor experience. It also means that the retina comparison is even more blabla than it was before since it's basically only compares due to distance.

Without knowing the picture quality or viewing comfort, it seems like a big 400 euro risk.

I'd rather have Amazon support since the Twitch App/Amazon Games App are a much bigger pain to deal with.

Also looking forward to theme away the greyscale library. That would be a big usability improvement.

It looks very good, but this bit worries me:
Interesting new puzzle mechanic based on melodies.
So far, I've had to resort to walkthroughs for every game that had note/melody based puzzles.

The new room is pretty good. Has some new ideas that they haven't used before and I hope that they keep expanding the room editor for a while so workshop rooms can do more interesting things.

The multiplayer part is still somewhat odd. Apart from the social aspect, the official rooms don't really benefit from having more people. There are some in the workshop that require cooperative play to solve though, but I haven't tried the multiplayer aspect yet.

It's good to have options. Even though I've been typing dvorak on my desktop for over 20 years, I'm not going to use it on my deck. For me dvorak is for blind tying, something I can't do on the deck. For tablets and phones I'm still using qwerty.

Embracer Group to acquire Eidos, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix Montréal

Although I find myself naturally opposed to companies being swallowed up by these giants, I don't really have any negative response to Embracer. For now they just seem to let their companies make games without much interference. Considering where studios were before, it may actually be an improvement. So, I'll be cautiously optimistic for now.
