Played through this game twice (second time on hard since I found out afterwards that this was the actual way it was designed). Don't remember having any fps issues though, so not ready to try it again. I highly recommend it to anyone that loved Portal 2 and is looking for something a bit harder.

Quoting: scaineEdit to note that this game looks like one that Ehvis will enjoy - massive manufacturing, research trees, building at scale. I feel a spreadsheet coming on!!Some TTD with a hint of Factorio. But ..... time! Only 24 hours in a day. And 7 days in a week. Anybody available to do my day job for me?

Quoting: slaapliedjeAnyone else install some plugins, and then have issues with it loading with Vulkan (I guess it's the default). It seems to sporadically hang, though mostly after a fresh reboot. OpenGL remains working fine though (although still hangs). This was only after installing some plugins.Vulkan has been giving me issues from the beginning. Mostly it just hangs before the menu screen (although sounds keeps playing). Deleting the Steam Vulkan shader cache for the game makes it move on. But at the next start it will hang again. Although lately even deleting the shader cache didn't make it start. Bun OpenGL is fine.
What have you been playing recently, come tell your thoughts

Quoting: CyrilFeral being the developer of the three versions, that could help to release the game on GOG with Linux/macOS?Technically it could. But interestingly, the publisher is now listed as SEGA where other ports also listed Feral as publisher for mac/linux. So it would seem to be up to SEGA.

I suppose testing/QA is not worth it for VR games because it is a small number multiplied by a small number. An interesting observation though. Steam says 2.2% of its users own a VR headset. The GOL statistics have 16% registered with a VR headset. Makes me wonder if VR ownership is really that high on Linux on whether it is a very selective data set.

Quoting: BeamboomQuite a few UE4 games as well. But those also tend to work nicely in Proton.Quoting: EikeInteresting observation. Wonder if it's by chance or something systematic.Well, VR games are typically not the most visually complex games. But I also have a theory; I have a strong feeling almost all VR games are developed on the same engine: Unity.
And that makes it even more annoying that they don't just render out a Linux version too, while they are at it.
I may be wrong though. But I do know that Unity has VR well implemented and I think I have seen Unity mentioned in SOME of the games.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPEvery action you mention here could be implemented with a normal mouse click + kb. Or a chain of clicking, holding, etc. Here a better reason then: the game is paced and balanced around you having to do a lot of physical movement. From ducking, picking up items to reloading guns and arming grenades. This makes you a great deal slower and more vulnerable than you would every be in a kbm controlled game. Playing this with traditional mechanics and without the added immersion would probably be just boring. It needs the added panic of you trying get save because it requires more than a few small finger movements.
It would definitely be doable via simplification. Valve just decided not to do it, probably because of multiple reasons.

While I'm in no way trusting Microsoft on what they would try to do with regard to privacy. I'm not actually sure I would trust Discord itself any more than that as it is now. There is a reason why I only run this thing in complete isolation. It doesn't even have access to snoop on my running processes. And otherwise I regard it as a public discussion forum.

The thing that bothers me the most about this GUI is that uninstalled games get greyscale images. Taking away the most important recognition factor.
