Quoting: CyborgZetaNow that I've left EndeavourOS behind and am back on Ubuntu LTS, it will be a while before I'm on the 6.0 kernel. It also means it'll be a while before I can buy and enjoy one of the new Intel GPUs.Or you could go crazy and install the kernel yourself
I'm a patient man though.
No more Steam Deck reservation queue — buy it now, plus Docking Station available

Am glad the deck has been a success as it gives valve back some of the capital invested in codeweavers the dxvk guy and flippty audio work with pipework. Def reduces one of my worries which was valve doing a valve and pulling the plug just like they did with steam machines and steam link and steam controllers. I still won't buy one as I am never in a place where I can't get to my gaming rig when I get time to game.

I ll be honest most of those games I am really not interested in but the RTS game and a couple of the top down guessing twin stick games look like they could be fun.

Quoting: Mountain ManI don't know but am willing to bet if arch is still a thing then, someone wi still be saying I use arch in future comments sectionsQuoting: TcheyThese guys are still alive and not too old, it amazes me, because i try to imagine what would be "computers" in 5-7 more human generations (if we don’t destroy ourselves first), compared to what they were at first, and i can only fail !When I was born, a computer was something that was the size of a school gymnasium and was programmed with punch cards. 50 years later, a computer is something you can hold in your hand and can be operated with an interactive visual interface. Who knows what it will be 50 years from now!

Quoting: pbInteresting but the last time I paid for a game was 2016 ISH I have Xbox game pass and have collected every free game from epic steam etcQuoting: Whitewolfe80Okay help me out here not being douchy why did you like a service where you have to pay to get the hardware pay to be a member then actually buy the game with craptastic pricesOh wow, so many misconceptions here!
1. I didn't have to pay for the hardware, I play it in Chrome browser. Keyboard+mouse or any controller. I have also configured it on SteamDeck and it works seamlessly.
2. I didn't have to pay for the subscription. I could play all the games I purchased and then some free ones like Destiny 2. I could also subscribe to get 4k and whatnot, plus lots of free games. But since I prefer a certain set of games and don't really play on a 4k tv, it didn't appeal to me
3. If you treat it as just another platform, it's obvious that you need to buy games to play on it. That said, I mostly bought games that I did not have on other platforms and/or were not released on Steam, so I wasn't doublespending.
4. What about the prices? The games went for pennies on sales, you can check the price history here: https://stadiadb.app/ [External Link] (bad interface, but hopefully doable) and there were even deeper discounts for pro members. Anecdotally, when Stadia launched I got a free month of Pro which also gave me a $10 dollar coupon and at the same time they had Borderlands 3 Ultimate for $10,49 or something like that, so I got it basically for free. To keep.

Quoting: pbI got to play games like *and* get a refund afterwards? How not to love Stadia, really?Okay help me out here not being douchy why did you like a service where you have to pay to get the hardware pay to be a member then actually buy the game with craptastic prices
There's also a TAKEAWAY option to download your saves and (hopefully) use them in the versions purchased from steam etc. Won't always work (I don't have much hopes for Hitman 3 as it uses online sync and cross-platform is not supported), but Cyberpunk should work and many others as well. It's bittersweet as I liked Stadia but it is what it is.

Yay i guess would of been way more amped for this if it would of happened say in 2012 a year ater the game came out but now reached that point where i know every area of the map I can be level 24/25 before leaving whiterun hold and without cheating maxed out blade and armour. But if you ve never played it seems unlikely but if you ve never played it great time to get it.

Steam sales are meh now they don't do the crazy 90 percent off flash sales. Of the games people actually want I remember getting dishonoured for 99 pence in steam flash sale. But then the game pubs complained now we get 25 percent off ancient titles very rare you get good deals now. But honestly I have 500 games I have played them all not to completion obviously but tried them all the ones I haven't like I just made a never touch folder and they all sit in there. Wish I could gift them out to people that would be a nice feature
