Isonzo is a new WW1 FPS from the dev of Verdun out now

Quoting: LinasIs it just me, or do they keep making the same game?
Worse, they keep making similar-enough games set during different battles of World War I but rather than meshing them together under one umbrella "WWI" game they further divide their already niche player-base across three separate games.

You can expect a few months of support for Isonzo before their next WWI game is announced.

Playing against mostly bots in new-ish games gets a pass from me.

Fedora Linux 36 is officially out now
10 May 2022 at 3:22 pm UTC

Sometime over the next week I'll be doing the upgrade, hopefully it will go smoothly. As this will be likely my first full distro version upgrade ever when using Fedora.
Unlike Ubuntu, I've never had any issues with Fedora's upgrade procedure. I'm so confident with it that I haven't waited for the stable release to upgrade in years. :woot:

First-person zombie co-op shooter Projekt Z is up on Kickstarter
29 Apr 2022 at 5:57 pm UTC

Speaking for myself, the likes of DayZ or 7 days to die don't interest that much and I backed the latter on kickstarter. Because of games like 7 days to die I won't be backing this one on kickstarter but I am interested in this game for the setting alone.

Something about killing nazi zombies in varied environments in a story-driven co-op experience just sounds like a blast to me. The addition of a "call of duty" style survival mode is just icing on the cake.

Not just another zombie game at all.

I can confirm that the 64bit DirectX9 version of the maelstrom engine does work in my initial testing with the new horizons mod. Shown windowed for screenshot purposes.

I should also note there is an open source engine re-implementation project underway.

While it's not via proton this game absolutely does work through (at least custom versions of) Wine including using the "New Horizons [External Link]" build mod. I've yet to test the maelstrom engine [External Link] on Linux but that boasts a 64bit directx9 overhaul of the engine.

Sorry Arch (EndeavourOS), it's not working out any more and hello Fedora

Quoting: pageroundWill you try fedora on the steamdeck?
Until the Deck-specific drivers and tweaks are in the mainline kernel it'll be a very lackluster experience with anything other than SteamOS. Even after these tweaks get mainlined I cannot see myself wanting to run anything other than SteamOS on my Deck.

Maybe if you used the deck exclusively docked?

Yeah I grabbed a copy for my brother and me last week. While the CO-OP/BOTS wave/zombie modes worked with him joining using my friend code, playing against/with BOTS got old fast.

Hoping this will help as it's a pretty fun game for some mindless co-op.
