Surreal point & click horror adventure Strangeland released for Linux

Just finished the game.

Yeah, it is very short, but at least it doesn't ask for $30 for a three hour ride.
Those three hours I found very much worth the asking price, and if you're into that, there is some replay value with a commentary mode.

The SteamOS-like Linux distribution GamerOS becomes ChimeraOS with a new release
2 Jul 2021 at 10:26 am UTC Likes: 4

Yeah, GamerOS was a somewhat cringe name - always made me think of the "How do you do, fellow kids?" meme except with gamers. So I do get why they were looking for something new.

But at least it was one of the only distros that told you what you were getting with the name - a fairly unique attribute.
Now it's kinda like every other distro.

Something was lost here, but not much gained in its place. Chimera? What does that have to do with gaming or ease of use/setup? It's honestly an even worse name...

Of course, "Gamers bad! Hurrr!"-people will love the change. Whatever.

Now that's a sweet looking keyboard.
With numpad, as the PCMR gods intended.

Has anyone played this with less than a full team of humans?
Are the bots capable enough?

co-open is a wholesome game about shopping by yourself for the first time

How cute.

I remember one of my first times shopping alone, I actually stole a sausage.
Got it from the butcher (but you paid at the cash register) and some other stuff, then went on to pay, but noticed I didn't have enough money.
Since I couldn't exactly "put it back", I decided to store the sausage in my pants and just paid for the other stuff.

That day, a criminal mastermind was born.
Just a few months ago, I did it again and stole some yeast - this time, I didn't even notice doing it!
The package was hidden under some cardboard.

Truly, I need to be stopped.

You know what game I'd love to get a "sequel" to?
The Movies.

That trailer did a good job.
Threw me back to 97 very quickly.

Open source Infinity Engine reimplementation GemRB 0.8.8 out now

Quoting: HamishStill holds the advantage when it comes to Icewind Dale II since Black Isle lost the original source code.
Advantage, yes, but it isn't completable.
But that can actually be worked on - while an EE of IWD2 is forever out of the question.

Either way, Linux itself has the advantage when it comes to running IWD2

What have you been tapping play on recently? Let us know

Some Anno 1800 for me (what a pain to get it to work, with some unholy combination of EGS and Ubisoft Connect).

Also Control, the Dark Forces / Jedi Knight series (currently at the end of Dark Forces II) and Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle.
All very recommendable.

First-person grid-based dungeon crawler Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle out now

Have been playing it for a few hours now.
It's really great fun, and not too easy, either!

And apparently the game is actually some custom packaged Chromium - at least that's what I get from the config/save folder basically just being that of a browser. Interesting!
