Note that the integrated core downloader is not implemented in the Steam version. Cores are instead listed as free DLC so simply add them this way instead, the Steam version currently has 31 cores and the list is growing pretty fast. :)

Once you poor Nvidia users can move to Wayland, compositing shouldn't be an issue any more. :)

Quoting: TermyReally cool! While I have moved over to ProtonUp-Qt since it has additional features I benefit from, I've used your application a lot. Thanks for making it! :)

If you use a tool like ProtonUp-Qt [External Link] (AppImage), the time it takes to install Proton GE is reduced to essentially your download speed for ~400 MB and a few seconds for the automated installtion.
This awesome tool supports downloading and installing many other things for Steam/Heroic/Lutris as well, Proton-GE, Lutris-Wine, Luxtorpeda to name but a few.

From what the reviews say, the Directors Cut edition is practically the same game with some really nice quality of life improvements and is the version to get for new players, while it really isn't an upgrade worth it for veteran players. Unknown if DSDC will eventually release for PC and if it'll be a free upgrade.
