OpenMW V0.27.0 Released And A Sneak Peek On OpenCS

Quoting: Quote from liamdaweYes I think the titles for their news articles need adjusting in future to say OpenMorrowind for a start, some people are getting confused.
There might be some problems with that, considering Morrowind is Bethesda's game and they are known to have tried to sue Mojang for naming their game Scrolls. It's silly, but that's just how big companies work these days.

Quoting: Quote from scaineNice one, Samsai. I just coughed for Delver yesterday and it's a similar title. I might have to go for this one too. It looks a little more polished than the Early Access one I bought!
I might check Delver later and see how they compare to each other, but at least this one's currently in my top games. I just need to play it a bit more.

The Wine Maintenance Release 1.6.1 Is Now Available

Quoting: Quote from liamdaweI am always impressed at just how far Wine has come, it's insane to think they can do this without documentation from MS.
And it's getting better and better really fast. I remember few years back most of my games were unplayable, but nowadays I have a ton of them working with decent framerates and next to none visual glitches. Good job Wine team!

The audio seems out of sync this time
Yup, just noticed that too. I am not exactly sure why it desynced, but luckily it's a rather minor one this time. SimpleScreenRecorder complained about memory alignment problems during recording, but usually those don't affect anything. Hopefully we will not experience more of these.

GOL Cast: Running Away From Mutants in Metro: Last Light

Quoting: Quote from SabunGreat video, I was really shocked when I found out it was released! I was expecting it sometime next year haha :D

Quoting: Quote(Yes, I am looking at you Sabun and Xpander.)
Hehe, hope I can do something of the sort. I'm sure Xpander can :)
Your recording is definitely smoother than mine, but it could be because I'm using the 319 drivers which are a bit dated. Guess I should grab the 331 Beta drivers and game on!

I hope more people will post Linux gaming videos, so we can get word of mouth out faster!
I am also using 319 and my graphics cards is inferior to yours, so your recording should actually be smoother than mine... Maybe you have something wrong with your recorder or something?

Anyways, having more Linux youtubers is really important and I like to help the newcomers whenever I see them. Luckily Liam has some interesting plans that he will eventually try to implement on GOL that should help the Linux youtubers in general to extend their audience faster.

Quoting: Quote from fabertaweSamsai - how did you get the fps counter in the corner? I've tried looking for info on this but have turned up a blank.

Thanks.
Xpander actually made a nice video about that in which he also showed how you can change the FOV. You should probably check it out:

Metro: Last Light Released for Linux on Steam

If it's okay for you, I'd like to have the further DRM debate on a forum thread dedicated to it, because I feel we are moving away from the original topic too much. If you have opinions about DRM you would like to share, please post them onto this thread: http://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/456.

Metro: Last Light Released for Linux on Steam

Yeah sure, having awesome games on Linux is most certainly bad news for Linux...
I understand that DRM is not a good thing, but DRM-free or not, having these games on Linux _is_ good news, either directly or indirectly.

I would like you to read this part of their Linux release announcement:
4A Games and AMD are working together on improving performance on Linux and waiting for updated drivers from the graphics card manufacturer.
http://steamcommunity.com/games/MetroVideoGame/announcements/detail/1841138399631172025 [External Link]

That means improved graphics performance on AMD, which at the moment is fairly horrible. If this isn't good news for Linux, then I'm fairly sure nothing is.

Sometimes Wine can be a nightmare, but I don't think it has any relation to this article. Tag removed. :D
