Worms have invaded Golf With Your Friends with a big new 18 hole course

I have been looking at this game for quite some time. It reminds me of a game I played on the Commodore 64 called Hole-In-One. Hole-In-One was a much simpler game, with a top down, low resolution graphics; but it had great "playability".

Thanks for the review. I have moved Golf With Your Friends higher on my list of games to be purchased during the holiday Steam sales.

Linux Gaming News Punch - Episode 20

Sat down to eat lunch at the office today. Checked into GoL and there was a News Punch waiting for me. My lunch tasted much better with a little drink of Punch.

(Liam: Your WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator) puns inspired me to take this drinking theme to the next level)

Continuing the Counter-Strike 20th anniversary Valve put out skins, plus a possible Operation and update coming

The pictures of the CS20 weapon skins are fueling my foolish cravings for CS:GO skins. What a waste of money... but there is this little voice inside my head that keeps telling me, "The more you pay for a weapon skin, the more kills you will get with that weapon."

I have managed to refrain from buying a knife skin though... Although whenever I see someone in a YouTube video (like Tyler McVicker) that has a skinned knife in hand, I can't help but think, "I wish I was him."

The 2D racer Bloody Rally Show is coming along nicely and it's good fun already

The developers at Game Hero Interactive sure know how to sweet talk a guy. They are saying all the things that a Linux user wants to hear. DRM free option, no Epic for us, "Linux gets same treatment as Windows and OSX"... On top of that, the game looks great! They also mention that if you add Bloody Rally Show to your wishlist, they will give you a launch discount. A guy could get use to this kind of treatment. :)

Monster Crown was not on my radar, but it is on my wishlist now. Thanks Liam!

The monster taming metroidvania "Monster Sanctuary" enters Early Access this month

I supported this project on Kickstarter back in October of 2018. From reading the Kickstarter informational page, I got a very distinct impression that these brothers were top notch developers. Soon after this i played the "demo" version of the game for over six hours. I was amazed at how well developed the "demo" version of the program was.

I have many fond memories of playing Pokemon Red and Blue with my son. He played on the color Gameboy, I played on the older Gameboy black & white and we would sit side-by-side for hours on end . We eventually bought a Gameboy Link Cable which allowed us to visit locations otherwise inaccessible. Good times...

There is something about this game that rekindles those memories and so I am looking forward to the release of Monster Sanctuary.

Charming puzzle game OXXO officially released with Linux support

I own PUSH, Art Of Gravity and Scalak, have played a fair amount of PUSH and some Art Of Gravity. I have been thinking that I need to get away from the "kill, die, learn and repeat" games. The only thing that I have "learned" is that I "die" way too often. This game will be a nice way to get more success and less failure. **BUY**

I continued my achievement hunter activities in CS:GO. Being a wimp at first/third person shooters, I continue to "play with bots" on Deathmatch with the setting "medium bots". I am getting closer to half way on the 1000 kills with an M4A4. Sometimes I feel like I should get into the competitive realm of CS:GO, but I am so UP (under-powered) that I would be that guy everyone says, "Who invited him?"

When I am listening to podcasts, I want something that takes very little thought, does not require the use of headphones (of course) and the consequences of making a faux pas is relatively inconsequential. For that I have been playing Regency Solitaire.

Finally, I have been playing some SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech. Liam did a fantastic review of this game HERE. It summarizes nicely why I think I will continue to play this game for awhile.

Guide a robot with simple programming in "Robo Instructus", out now

I have an affinity for these "solo developer" games.
Robo Instructus() has been on my wishlist since March. After reading Liam's review and the developer's blog post, it was a no-brainer - buy now. It is somewhat similar to another game that I enjoyed, Hacknet, which is also developed by a solo developer.
I sure hope this game is successful. After reading the blog posting, you can not help but want the game to be a success.

Valve has launched "Steam Labs", a place where Valve will show off new experiments
11 Jul 2019 at 10:57 pm UTC

I like the idea of letting users get a look at Steam's "works-in-progress". Anything a company can do to give users insight and input into their services is a good thing. Although each of the three labs seems to be a rehashing of "Your Discovery Queue", I rather like the "Automatic Show Experiment" format. I can see myself going back to this every few weeks to get a quick perspective on what is out there in the Steam Universe. I cannot say I ever find myself wanting to review my "Your Discovery Queue".
