I played Unity Daggerfall quite a lot about 3-6 months ago, it was really a blast ! Very playable with 2020 standards : GUI, gameplay, effects... are all very acceptable. It’s something i’d recommend for every open world RPG lovers, not just the "melancholic and nostalgic" vibes.

I’m at 25+ hours already, and that’s only on v14 (Release Candidate included)...
Didn’t count all the previous times i played, but it’s certainly in the hundreds.
Did i say i think it’s the best game of its kind ?
And it has a lot of nice immersive mods.

Quoting: scaineIt’s very quickly boring and repetitive, lacks depth, and replayability is not great. It's getting mixed reviews, but I really like the look of A Long Way Down [External Link]. It's giving off CardHunter meets Slay the Spire vibes. Only 25% off, but for a tenner, I think it might be worth the risk.

Loving these guys !
I started with Templar Battleforce, felt in love, then played some Heroes of Steel but prefered TBF so i played it more, then went to Star Traders Frontiers.
Now waiting for Cyber Knights, and i feel it’s going to be awesome.
Big hope : it’s also going to be their first game with a "proper GUI" for PC, without these huge ugly big buttons on empty screen.

So far, it seems to suffer quite bad optimization, even for the GUI not being responding enough. Many names and characters are white-christian-sided, even if you interact with black african countries, or middle east, etc. Not a lot of options to set a game. Very bad informations delivered to player about what is doing what and how and why. Conditions and statistics are lackluster too.
Other than that, it’s a straight and major improvement over the first game, but the first game was very shallow, so "better" might not be enough. It’s still Early Access, but that’s 1C and Jujubee, both not really known to deliver well polished and balanced and enjoyable games. They take the niche "1/2 to 2/3 good"...

I have loved and hated this game for years.
I’ve never managed to accept the GUI, and it’s my main grip against the game.
Also i cannot like the main character controls/behavior/rendering.
Other than that, it’s quit awesome, but still not first in my heart.
StarMade is there (or the SM i played a few years ago anyway).
I think now Stormwork Build and Rescue is growing and a great challenger for "my top".

It seems to be again a game without any keyboard configuration, with WASD as default.
No qwerty, lefty, disabled, desk setting, and other good reasons to have key rebinding in any games, should be mandatory.
