Quoting: ElectricPrismAlso, unfortunately the more expensive anti-glare etched glass is awesome as well. With the discount it's less than what I originally paid for the middle model.
Quoting: EikeIt's also nice in bed!I'm temped to make a joke about it being the top marital aid.

Quoting: MayeulCI thought these were disallowed by the specification? They are – it seems to be a precaution against someone using a cable with a lower max power rating to extend a stronger cable. If you take care that the extension cable has at least the same power rating there shouldn't be any problem. I use one that's rated >> more than it needs to be all the time.

Quoting: denyasisCome to think of it, how's the dock? Or is it better to still get a 3rd party one?I've no experience with 3rd party alternative, but I don't regret buying the official dock. Note that I did not have a compatible second charger which definitely factors into the price considerations – I mainly keep one on my desk (also used in bed) and one in the living room (and outside of the house).

Sadly I'm not surprised that the pro AI people cannot state their opinion without belittling/making fun of/insulting those with different views. Same with the crypto people.
A different issue with ML technology is that it is most useful at recognizing patterns/automating things like automatic surveillance (see China). It is a technology that can very easily be abused. Like the invention of the atomic bomb it will change the world – probably not for good. We've seen it used by banks to automate credit ratings where it was trained to be sexist. It's used by publishers to reject books that are not similar to past bestsellers. It's used in cameras to improve the picture quality/focus – there have been cases where it was shown to work better for people with white skin.

Oh that reminds me… there was a thing a few years ago where you could randomly generate/write Harry Potter sentences – either completely random or as a suggestion for words based on the text that is already there.

I know the feeling every time when a certain manufacturer of cast iron cooking and baking products from the US has a sale that includes their fluted cake pan.

Quoting: Curupira/Cries in BrazilianThat can't be much fun – not being able to buy one officially. On top of that is the sale to put salt in the wound.

I've got the first part free as ad for the second part.
It seems that the games are (very) good, but personally, they make me feel so uncomfortable that I can't play them. I've played a bit of the first one and watched some videos on youtube of 1 and 2.

It's the right thing to do. All things that AI (in the sense of machine learning) can do is derivative. Nothing original can be produced if external training data is used.
If the AI was trained only with data produced by the the game's creator, then it would be only derivative of the developer and therefore okay to publish, but that would be a huge amount of work.
