Arcen Games, makers of AI War and The Last Federation, have put out their latest game in a surprise release last week. In a deviation from their usual formula, they've chosen a more action-filled approach while still keeping some of their usual elements. I took a look to see if it's any good.
Order of the Thorne: The King's Challenge is the latest game from Quest for Infamy developer Infamous Quests, and is the first game of a planned anthology series, now available on GOG, Itch.io, Humble Store and Steam.
SNOW is incredibly interesting, mainly as it's our first proper winter sports type game to have on Linux & SteamOS, it's a bit buggy though. It's free, so no big loss right now if it's a bit iffy.
Feral Interactive certainly don’t stop, Company of Heroes 2 has an impressive patch alongside The Western Front Armies expansion release on Linux. This patch also enables Linux to Mac online play.
Homefront: The Revolution is a title I am going to love I'm sure, and the more I see of it the happier I am with how the gameplay looks.
It's nice to have some good news. I told you all recently that it looked like Master of Orion was coming to SteamOS & Linux, and now it has been confirmed by Wargaming themselves.
I was really hoping to give Torment: Tides of Numenera a go, but it seems I won't be able to since they have launched without Linux support right now. They aren't sure if it will get a Linux version during Early Access or after the final release.
Well, I'm glad I didn't buy it on a promise. Rocket League developers have confirmed it's going to be another 6 to 8 weeks before the SteamOS & Linux version is ready.
I love strategy games, so I just had to give the totally weird looking Death by Game Show a go. My PR people sent over a key so I could check it out.
Escape from Tarkov is an interesting looking Russian-made action MMO that is apparently going to come to Linux too.
This is lovely news, Atari Vault a new official collection of 100 classic games is heading to SteamOS & Linux
Fans of challenging platformers with the trendy roguelite appellation might be interested to know that there's something new that they can sink their teeth into. Vagante promises countless hours of procedurally generated fun alone or with friends.
I have yet to give Bound By Flame a real good go, but it's really good to see this Action/RPG game get some support with a new patch in beta.
A first-person puzzle game by the name of Attractio, developed by GameCoder Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, has been released for Linux on Steam.
Another updated version of an old roguelike was released for Linux earlier this month. Players can expect to fight monsters, explore and have all the traditional trappings of dungeon crawlers.
Fans of the beautiful game might be happy to know that we've had our first football (soccer for you Yanks out there) game available on Linux for a few months now. Well, first one that's more about the matches than the management side of things. Kopanito is a diverse and fast-paced game that looks pretty fun.
Empires, a Source SDK game that's been around for quite a long time looks like it's coming to Linux, can't wait to try it.
Day of Infamy is a brand new WWII mod for the FPS game Insurgency that looks like it could be pretty awesome.
Kona: Day One could be a sleeper hit, as I haven't seen too much fanfare around it, but it looks seriously cool. Pre-orders are now open, and you get beta access on January 29th if you do.
Skyborn is a pretty nice looking 2D RPG created in RPGMakers, and it has now launched on SteamOS and Linux. It flew under the radar a bit, so some of you probably didn't know either.
