Well, this is certainly something unique. Kingdoms of the Dump, a SNES-styled RPG with plenty of modern touches is currently on Kickstarter. Two things make it interesting: It's made with the FOSS game engine Godot Engine and the two main creators are actual janitors chasing their dream.

When crowdfunding games, there's always a risk that something will go wrong. Sometimes games get cancelled, sometimes the Linux version get cancelled and in the case of Eco from Strange Loop Games they're not exactly filling me with confidence.

Rings of Saturn, a hard sci-fi space simulation game made with the FOSS Godot Engine is now opening up Early Access builds on itch, with a slight difference.

Ribbiting Saga is another game popping up during E3 that will be supporting Linux! It's a SNES-inspired action adventure game and it really does look sweet.

SkateBIRD is a very promising and very cute skateboarding game with birds, yes birds riding skateboards.
