As for the game itself, I fully completed it without any issues.

In other news, Wolfenstein: The New Order just released on GOG and it works beautifully. The engine runs on OpenGL natively so performance is very close or equal to Windows.
Screenshot taken from my main system with Ultra settings and MSAA set to 8x (had to use ingame console for the latter):
More screenshots taken from my Laptop running Intel i3 5005U with Intel HD (Mesa 19.2.8 + Iris Driver), I'm actually surprised to see it run so well on this system:

Interesting to note that Linux is listed as one of the "Intended Platforms" in this developer postmortem:
https://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3103/postmortem_raven_softwares_star_.php?print=1
It could just be an error, but Raven had already worked with Loki Software on Heretic II and Soldier of Fortune at this point so anything is possible.

Do not work out of the box, you need to execute this command before to launch it:
protontricks 758330 -q dotnet462 xact xact_x64You can obtain Protontricks here:

It needs those MF fixes to get videos running, the same way RE2 does. It crashes too often in DX12 mode, behaves much more stable in DX11 (but still crashes sometimes.)
Doom Eternal:

To run it, you'll need Proton-5.4-GE-2 and opting Steam for beta testing (yes, that's right). The performance is bad though, 18-30 fps while Doom 2016 runs at 150+. Lowering graphics settings doesn't help at all. It also stops responding after Alt+Tab. I tapped Print Screen instead of F12 accidentally, my screenshooter application took focus, and the game got stuck.
Vulkan has been updated on Manjaro, now I'm getting 30-45 fps in Doom Eternal. Still too low for such a fast-paced game, but at least it's now playable.

Some screenshots from Far Cry 2. This game still looks great 12 years since release, the gameplay is not bad either and captures the African theme nicely. My only complaint is that it doesn't have many animals in the game world.
