Ran into the same problem. Constantly saying it was open in another tab or program.
I don't use Windows, so I guess I won't be using Bluetooth on my Stadia controller. Eh, I prefer leaving my controllers plugged into my PC anyway.

GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin got a big speed boost for Steam Deck

Just did a fresh install and re-enabled my settings one-by-one, testing Vulkan each time to see if it works. When I checked the box for "Enable API Validation Layers" in the Advanced tab, I got the problem I've been experiencing. That's why Vulkan never worked. Not sure why I ever had that checked. Well, at least that's one problem solved.

Quoting: melkemindI found the problem.Quoting: CyborgZetaI just tried it with Vulkan, and it appears to be working on my system. There must be a way to work around whatever issue you're having, although I don't know what that is since I didn't do anything special.Quoting: TiZI don't have a GitHub account, and I know jack about filing bug reports. People typically pull up the output in a terminal or something, yes? I don't know how to do that. All I can tell you is "Uh, it don't work".Quoting: CyborgZetaThat's nice and all, but Vulkan on the Dolphin Flatpak has been broken for the past several months. Trying to use Vulkan just brings up a "failed to initialize video backend" and "failed to create Vulkan instance" dialog.I don't see an issue for this on the Flathub package's issue tracker. [External Link] Any particular reason you haven't filed a report if it has been broken for the past several months?
There are discussions on Reddit that tell me other people have issues with failing to initialize Vulkan on Dolphin. Though I don't know what hardware or OS they're using. In those cases, it may be a driver issue, but the Flatpak build should be using the latest drivers. No clue.
Vulkan in Dolphin doesn't work on my desktop or my Steam Deck, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Here, you can take a look at mine. Nothing remarkable.

Sadly, it pulled too early, because I've been playing Mass Effect 2 on Legendary Edition pretty much non-stop since last week. It would've ranked higher.
I wish Cyberpunk 2077 wasn't so prominent. I didn't hate the game, but I didn't love it either. Yet, I put enough hours into it that it gets a spotlight. Ah well.
Oh, one last addendum to mine; don't expect RetroArch to go up again. I ran into problems with the RetroArch Flatpak back in Late Spring, and used the Steam version for a while; hence the playtime. Nowadays, I run the Flatpak again. The Steam version still lacks the melonDS core, which is the only core I use for DS games.

I would recommend a flavor like Kubuntu over Ubuntu, especially for a new user. Plasma is going to look more "sane" than GNOME, which is something I can attest to from back when I first tried Linux.
KDE has a fundraiser for all their work like the Plasma desktop (used by Steam Deck)

Cemu emulator for Wii U now provides an AppImage

I'm not a fan of AppImage, personally. They're arguably more portable than Flatpak, but they lack Flatpak's sandboxing. The only AppImage I use is for Balena Etcher, because there's not Flatpak available.
