Quoting: melkemindI really miss the days when you could just connect to a friend's computer and have some peer-to-peer online gaming or host your own server. I wish more games kept that functionality alive.
Yeah, for real. I also liked the direct cable multiplayer and direct dial too. LAN play was easier, but there was a charm to the other methods. lol (Forgot to reply to this.)

If the always online bothers anyone enough here. Might I suggest the Switch version? It's actually excellent, and you can get it physically too. I've got this on both the Switch and PS5 physically.

Which initially worried me as the main menu hovered around 50fps.
I'm sure that any PAL or SECAM folks here will be used to that 50FPS though. lol

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualNow, if only governments would outlaw region locking with DVDs and Blu-Rays. Region-locking shows on streaming services is bad enough, but region locking physical media is incredibly greedy. Or how about creating firmware for DVD players that will refuse to play discs not authorized to play in this region? How was anti-consumer behavior like this ever allowed? Was anyone allowed to publish a hardcover book which would combust if a customer attempted to open it in Australia?

Fuck region locks. For any reason.
Yeah, I remember being pissed about the 3DS having them, and annoyed that the Wii U did. The 3DS was the worse offense, as handhelds were always traditionally region free for the most part.

If it has a bomb recipe I know what you will be making first......
Might I suggest The Anarchist Cookbook? 🏴 lol

But this is cool to see, and I might start a new game when this drops. I wish that it had cross-save with the Switch, but I'll just stick to playing it on Linux. It was one of those games that ran great on my old netbook that I used to have. :D

Raspberry Pi 5 announced - still tiny, much more powerful

Cool, I was holding off on getting another one for just this very reason. I've got a Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ that I use as a DreamPi [External Link] for my Dreamcast. But I've wanted another more powerful one to just mess around with, and maybe to use as a FreeBSD file server eventually.
