The original Quake got a new enhanced edition, Steam Play tool Luxtorpeda updated for it

Interesting about machine, not sure if any of the other engines do it better, so would always welcome helping test there. The other packs should work fine, as they are using the original game releases. I do have a vkquake rerelease option that uses vkquake with the new paks, which is experimental (it seems to work ok but it does have the text issues that others have)

The Dimension of the Past, I had to use the original pak file when it was released a few years ago, because when I tried to pick up the armor, it crashed immediately with the kex version.

I noticed the text issues as well, it seems like with the kex one, they moved the localization to a common file, that I'm not sure if the quake engines can understand.

I put up a ticket here for those issues (not the crashing though): https://github.com/Novum/vkQuake/issues/343 [External Link]

If anyone finds out workarounds or fixes for these issues, let me know and I can add that to the packaging.

There does not appear to be a demo for Linux. There is a playtest but downloading it gives no files at all. So looks like Linux is not supported for the demo/playtest.

Quoting: EikeMetro Exodus, Total War: Rome Remastered, Shadow Tactics standalone expansion, Civilization VI DLC and Spacebase Startopia - that's how a Linux gamer day is supposed to be! ;)
Is it confirmed that the shadow tactics expansion is coming to Linux? Last I looked the store page showed Windows only.

Rest of it is good news though
Yes.
Nice!

Is there any news as to if it's still coming to Steam in the future? I remember it got on Greenlight many years ago when that was a thing.

Quoting: HoriHmmmm... so you could play Morrowind on Steam using OpenMW? Interesting!

Quoting: d10sfan...
You can see a list of supported games/engines here: https://luxtorpeda-dev.github.io/packages.html [External Link]

Ok so no OpenMW yet but surely they will support it eventually.
Yes, OpenMW is supported. It's listed there, along with tes3mp.
