Quoting: axredneckAFAIK .NET can be installed with Wine 6.x and winetricks from git
It says on the WINE HQ website it can't. So I do not know. I have tried and it failed on wine5.19 and up I think.

Wine 6.1 released beginning another year of improvements

I was playing around with some GTA5 mods the other day and noticed some use DotNet4.8 script injection, and dotnet48 can't be installed on newer wine versions. The recommendation is to install wine-mono which got rid of errors but also the mods just didn't appear to work also.. shrug.

Wish I could launcher straight into GTA5 for testing, damn launchers are the bane of these games, its a launcher within a launcher within a launcher situation, bloody annoying! (for single player)

Steam Festival returns February 3, plus new Steam Beta fixes up shader processing

Haven't experience much shader caching on my 6800XT, but there are other issues I'm facing with proton game performance. Problems which don't exist on the windows10 AMD driver now (they did in the past).

Might move back to Mesa20.3 from 21-dev, not much else can be done.

PLEASE tell me their using unity's vulkan api for the linux port. If I see another company rolling back to outdated broken slow opengl for that engine, I'll scream, let it die already!

If you've played 'Pillars of Eternity 2' or 'Battletech' you understand the horrible woes of the OpenGL component, and yes at first glimpse it looks to work well, but as you play through those games (and many others) it gets real nasty, quick.

This is a GUI for Legendary EGS script tool. I've been using it to try out some EGS stuff, mostly works fine, has had bugs or feature limits which have been quickly added in new versions.

Been playing modded GTA5 (not online). Works well but there are allot of hoops involved in getting GTA5 running good. I posted them on protondb yesterday, maybe that will show up.

Plague Inc: The Cure is out now, free until 'COVID-19 is under control'

All ready for covid-20 or 21? apparently its happening in some places around the world. Time will tell if the current vaccines can help against it (they speculate yes, but well, we'll see)

Plasma 5.21 Beta is out and it's a thing of beauty, towards first-class Wayland support

Quoting: bingusWhile I'm not exactly sure what you mean... I can't say I've experienced anything too weird with Skype, personally.
Skype taskbar click zone ends up being invisibly on top of the application start menu button, on my screen that is top-left, might follow the issue bottom-left if that is where you have the bar.

Quoting: DerpFoxWhat I never like with KDE and their app is how bloated they are.
You can remove allot of KDE components, are you talking about System Settings? You don't like all the options in there?

KDE Plasma5 is actually less bloat then quite a few others these days, in the sense it runs better and more coherent.

what happens when you install things like skype? does it screw up the task manager click zone still? bet it does.
